HOW to REDIRECT to HTTPS?
I'm searching for a method [on client side] to redirect to HTTPS in a few given domains. e.g.: http://www.facebook.com/ to https://www.facebook.com/ Ok. I use several webbrowsers, and not all of them has "add-ons" to redirect these pages to https. Internet access not working on CentOS but on Windows when travelling
Hello, I'm currently travelling (in south-eastern Europe) with a netbook (Samsung NC 10) running CentOS 5.4 i386. I frequently try to access internet from bars or hotels (mostly via wireless). Although it works pretty often, it happens quite regularly that in some hotels I cannot access internet from CentOS while it is possible from Windows. This is the case in the hotel where I am currently

firefox 18
Has anyone managed to get FF 18.0 to work on Centos 5.8? I've been hacking at it, placing a stack of .so files (from Centos 6) into a private directory, then using LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point the system to (in a shellscript that subsequently invokes ff 18) but so far I've not managed to find the right combination. I've moved over libstdc++, all or nearly all the .so files from glib2 and

http://www.filehippo.com/download_sandboxie/ It's a great application [ for windows... :\ ] Are there any programs under CentOS, that has the ~same features? To be specific: The user could launch a program [e.g.: Google Chrome] inside this sandbox, and when he/she exits Google Chrome, all the changes that Google Chrome did is "undoed". + Google Chrome is in a sandbox, so it

Re: Limiting the execution of Wine to allowed programs
Wow, I didn't expect anyone to reply...my bad. Actually I was more interested in landeel's idea of a custom Wineprefix. If I can do that, then I could also implement a DirectX fix for one of the older games...Sonic R, and fix that green patching. Well, I dunno how to implement the patch, but I know where the code is. Since there's plenty of space on the hard drive, installing Wine

How can I install Wine on a computer without internet access
Hi, Couldn't find the answer searching the forum. I would like install Wine on a system that has Ubuntu 9.10 but NO access to the Internet. I have another system with Ubuntu 8.04 which can access Internet, but the instructions at http://www.winehq.org/download/deb seem to imply that it would install the Wine on my 8.04 machine. I missed to mention it. But I actually did try changing the CN=users to OU=ouname, and even leaving it out. I don't know why it didn't return any results before, it does now - see my reply to James.
