gmp package installation on CentOS 5.2
Hello, Last year, I installed CentOS 5.2 on an HP Proliant Server. Along with other packages, the gmp and gmp-devel version 4.1.4 packages were installed. To the best of my knowledge these packages do not come from the gmp team. Recently, I built an rpm package for gmp 5.0.1 for CentOS 5.2. I tried to update the gmp package by command rpm -Uvh gmp-5.0.1-1.x86_64.rpm but the update failed

Anyway, I try to finf on my Program Files folder and run in DOS mode the ezstream.exe I want to ask if I can grab the

2.6.18 xen kernel not loading NIC drivers
I have a Supermicro X8SSAX mother board with 2 onboard Intel 82574L Gigabit NICs. Stock Centos 5.5 install with the e1000e.ko driver updated to the latest from Intel website (1.2.10-NAPI) I am attempting to get a bonded interface working, but while mucking around I noticed the NICs are behaving oddly in the xen kernel, but work fine in the non-xen kernel. When I boot dom0 into

Some questions on setting up web radio and mirror streaming...
Hello IceCasters! I am new to the community here, so forgive me for not knowing a lot about the issue. I am a student in a University in Greece. I would like to ask a question, I don't know if it has already been answered, but I hope I can find a way through this... We are about to set up a radio station in our department, and I would like to find some ways and techniques in order to make it

IceCast as a WinXP Service?? plus 2 Qs more..
Hello! I am a student in a university department here in Greece, and we are developing a WebCast solution for our new radio station we have made. We work with Oddcast plugin for WinAMP, which connects to an IceCast_v2 server, which runs on a WinXP machine. I would like to ask for 2 major issues we face: -> Because we have some problems with the weather conditions here and sometimes the

Concatenate a mix of numbers and letters to create a vector name
Dear all, I am trying to create a vector name, for example tmax.195012 from tmax., 1950 and 12. Obviously I don't wish to simply type it because the 3 name components are changing in each iteration within a loop. Is there any way of concatenating those 3 components (which are a mixture of numbers and letters)? Thanks for reading, Panos

filesystem mounting fails at boot
_netdev The filesystem resides on a device that requires network access (used to prevent the system from attempting to mount these filesystems until the network has been enabled on the system). This device is not a network device (this a SAN not a NAS). To the OS it looks like a normal SCSI attached device, it's /dev/sdb. In the blade there is a HBA (Qlogic) card, and it's

filesystem mounting fails at boot
Hi I have an IBM blade with internal harddisks, in hardware RAID1. I've installed a CentOS 6 64bit on it, everything works just fine. After the installation, I've presented a vdisk to the blade from an external SAN (an HP EVA4000), connected through FiberChannel. I've partitioned the disk, formatted it and mounted it under /store, then added it to fstab. Everything was fine, until I

Residuals in gls
Dear R-helpers, I am doing a multiple linear regression of an ozone time-series on time and other explanatory variables. I have been using the "lm" model but I am recently experimenting with "gls". With the "lm" model I was able to look at the residuals by $res in the "summary (lm(...))" and then check with "acf" for autocorrelation in these

[LLVMdev] Publication: Two LLVM-related papers
Hi, i've two papers that could be listed on the LLVM publication page. http://www.llvm.org/pubs/ The first paper describes an architecture description language and LLVM back-end generation out of an ADL. The second paper describes a cluster VLIW back-end for LLVM 2.9, just before this VLIW initiative started for LLVM. Kind regards, Timo Stripf Stripf, T.; Koenig, R.; Becker, J.; , "A

one (small) sample wilcox.test confidence intervals
Dear R people, I notice that the confidence intervals of a very small sample (e.g. n=6) derived from the one-sample wilcox.test are just the maximum and minimum values of the sample. This only occurs when the required confidence level is higher than 0.93. Example: > sample <- c(1.22, 0.89, 1.14, 0.98, 1.37, 1.06) > summary(sample) Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max.

filled.contour: colour key decoupled from main plot?
Dear R colleagues, I am trying to plot some geophysical data as a filled contour on a continent map and so far the guidance from the R-help archives has been invaluable. The only bit that still eludes me is the colour key (legend) coming with filled.contour: I prefer to generate my own colour palette, mainly based on the quantiles of tenths of the data in order to capture the whole range (of

openfiler (was: using CentOS as an iSCSI server?)

Here is something I am currently lokoing at, and wondering if you'd considered it or if anyone here has done it. I've got a bunch of existing hardware - really good IBM stuff that is all installed with CentOS (with a few exceptions). We want to move to virtualization, but

Billing works but i do no get full calling cost...!
Hi to everybody, i tried to find an asnwer before posting this, but most astcc billing issues i searched refer to the case when no billing occurs at all. In my case i get only initial charges and any subsequent minute does not count for billing. In my iax.conf i entered the "notransfer = yes" but nothing changed. My test card and test calls are the following TEST-CARD en N/A

Installing FreeBSD 9.1 amd64 on IBM x3550 M3
Hello, I'm trying to install FreeBSD 9.1 amd64 on an IBM x3550 M3 server. Installation went smoothly, RAID controller and network cards were successfully recognised. But, after the installation, the server fails to boot from disk. There were some posts, about two years ago, in this list implying that the problem lies in UEFI but I couldn't find any clear solution. Any suggestions would

Binary updates for SA-06:23?
Is it just me, or freebsd-update isn't yet shipping the openssl updates? I'm trying (on an SMP machine) to fetch them, but there seem to be none available. I'd like to confirm that sleep deprivation isn't the culprit here, so I've checked in /usr/local/freebsd-update/work/ and the subdirectory with the highest number contains the SA-06:21 files. Anyone seen that clue bat
