Building a System.
So, people have recommended building a system from scratch, start with a
CentOS base and installing asterisk and all of the other utilities.
I've only used Trixbox for my business system. I'm wondering what
surprises I'd run into. Right now, I know I'd need the OS, Asterisk,
something like FreePBX, I have a x100p card so I'd need Zaptel, does
that come with asterisk?

SMS in landline
Hi all.
I am searching for a way to send SMS via our E1 PRI line.
We are in Portugal and I have seen some Internet/TV/Phone providers (ZON for
those who know it) who install normal phones with SMS support in landline.
So I just found a page from PT (Portugal Telecom) stating that the SMC
number is either 12999 or 129990 (

WERR_BAD_NET_RESP on replication (--full-sync)
Hello,
We have a Windows 2008 DC (inview-dc1 and a samba 4.4.16 (inview-dc2)
server as a backup DC.
The system for the most-part works OK, but occasionally the Samba DC
goes wildly out of sync (with respect to group membership), normally
after a change to a large group.
I have noted previously before the out-of-sync event occurs, this
command always fails thus :

Upgrade 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
Hi,
After upgrading Dovecot from version 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2, we are
sporadically seeing lots of these errors in the error log on many of our
servers:
imap-login: Error: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed:
Resource temporarily unavailable -
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SocketUnavailable
The issue is causing significant delays and/or timeouts on login.
From what I can tell, this

Thanks Garming.
We currently use a standalone bind DNS server. Will the later version of
samba work without the integrated DNS backend?
Cheers

idmap limit?
Hi,
no, that's my fault. I changed the UIDs and user names in my "ls -l" to
unpersonalized/example data for my mail and didn't think about putting
these values into the range. A better unpersonalized data example would
look like:
----------
drwx------ 43 DOM\user1 DOM\group 4096 Jan 10 08:00 user1
drwx------ 5 DOM\user2 DOM\group 4096 Jan 11 08:13 user2

Upgrade 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
While I not certain that this is related to the problem we are
experiencing, we are also (more rarely) seeing these:
dovecot: master: Warning: service(imap-login): process_limit (16)
reached, client connections are being dropped
imap-login was set to process_limit=16, client_limit=1250 (for a total
of 20000 concurrent clients) on 2.2.27. We never had any issues with
this then.

idmap limit?
Hi,
we are running a file server as member server of a windows 2012 domain.
Now we are facing the problem, that some UIDs are not mapped to the user
names by the running winbindd process. This results in "nobody"
usernames for nfs shares mounted by other clients.
When doing an "ls -l" in the homes directory on the member server (file
server), the list looks like:

WERR_BAD_NET_RESP on replication (--full-sync)
Hi,
Many of these syncing problems were solved in Samba 4.7 (and probably a
few more in 4.8). There were a number of unresolved locking issues that
we uncovered as well as some inconsistencies with Windows replication. I
would try join a DC with one of the latest Samba versions and see if
your problems persist.
Cheers,
Garming
