Thunderbird and Trash folder
Hello, I have my problems with the Trash folder in thunderbird. Most of the times (it did work, but only for a short period) Thunderbird is not considering the "Trash" folder (or in my case the "Papierkorb") as the trash folder. The symbol disappears and I am not able to delete folders. Deleted emails are disappearing at all. The usual Google solutions like maildir vs.

Thunderbird "Empty Trash" causes inconsistent IMAP session state?
All, having successfully compiled and set up Dovecot 2.2.29.1 on my Thecus NAS as a newbie without any further hassle, and already imported an external mail archive of ~15 GB into a lz4-compressed mdbox (with impressive performance on the old Intel Atom CPU!), I stumbled into a minor, but reproducible issue that might well be already known, but I haven't managed to find any pointers

Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5)
Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5) I have built Dovecot 2.0 and installed it under "/opt/dovecot2". I have done the minimum configurations necesary to get it to work with SSL, systems users but with a secondary password database, and set up mail location as "mdbox:~/dbox". I had to create the directory "dbox" in the

Thunderbird 3.1 unable to delete subfolder of Trash under mdbox
Thunderbird 3.1.9 over Windows 7. Dovecot 2.0.11 (2:2.0.11-0~auto+41 from http://xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ source on 8 Apr 2011) over Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Trying to set up a Dovecot system with mdbox. But I also wanted to keep some Maildir. So I ended up with both mdbox and Maildir side-by-side and noticed an issue. On this system, Dovecot's global mail location is configured with

Cannot delete IMAP Mail-Folder in Trash
Hello, I've noticed an annoying problem. Trying to delete a folder that has been deleted on IMAP and is moved to trash has problems being deleted. Thunderbird reports: "Folder contains children" and stops there. Folder at first disappears. But after restarting Thunderbird they are still there and on Dovecot-Mailbox folder on the server the folders are also still present.

Cannot delete IMAP Mail-Folder in Trash
We have the same problem, with a twist. When Thunderbird deletes a folder, it is still shown by the GUI. Dovecot deleted the folder correctly, and the sunscriptions file is also correct. Some other times, on shared folders, Thunderbird refuses to delete; in this case, apple mail on iphone can delete successfully. This suggests that the problem is in Thunderbird's code. Was able to do this in CentOS 6 can't believe they

usb 3
I am trying to plug a USB 2 device in a USB 3 slot. Nothing is being detected in "lsusb". Is there something special I need to do? I am running centos 5.5 x86_64. I thought 3.0 was backward compatible. Nothing special about my device its an RS232 to USB device. It works in 2.0 slot. Thanks, Jerry

Cannot delete IMAP Mail-Folder in Trash
Hello, the folders exist physically in vmail-storage on filesystem for the given Mailbox\MailDir\Trash. I already tried to refresh subscription using IMAP on Thunderbird. Is there any other way using CLI and dovecot to (re-)check subscriptions or do some kind of rescan? Trying to delete the physically (in file-system on server) existing folders using IMAP always complains that the folder is

2nd try: Thunderbird "Empty Trash" causes inconsistent IMAP session state?
Sorry, just one more thing I've just noticed now from looking at the IMAP session IDs: Dovecot seems to map the steps as outlined below to four different IMAP session IDs all related to the exact same Thunderbird client instance: * <yH0lKWRRpNHAqOh5> session for the folder copy of folder "Dilbert" with 317 messages * <VcMlLWRRqNHAqOh5> session for the deletion

exclude a folder for lazy expunge (move to trash)
Hello, I'm configuring lazy expunge plugin to act as a kind of backup of my user's emails. I'm getting a little problem because a lot of my users use "move to trash" behaviour in their email client (most of them are using thunderbird which has no option to hide deleted messages and is a hassle working with mark as deleted with it). The problem combining move to trash

BUG - DELETE Public/Folder not working with Thunderbird
Hi Anton, Thank you very much for your helpful hint. Thunderbird clearly wants to move Public/Test to the Trash of the user who subscribed the Public folder. Question is how to solve this from a Dovecot point of a view, so a user can also delete folders? 2020200448[10053c700]: proposed url = Public/Test folder for connection INBOX has To Wait = FALSE can run = FALSE 2020200448[10053c700]:
