GRUB woes: GRUB Hard Disk Error
Hello all,
I am attempting to install CentOS 5.5 on a recently donated home server (was
Windows). I've tried installing twice; first, separating /boot, swap, /,
/var, /usr and /home into different partitions, the second time choosing
default layout. Both times have resulted in "GRUB Hard Disk Error" upon
boot.
About the hard disk, it is a Seagate SATA drive. I do not have another

Forbidden: can't access *.html files in /var/www/html
Hello,
I'm using the latest CentOS with phpBB 3.0.x + postgreSQL + sendmail
(relayed through gmail.com) - all those programs working fine,
with no big modifications of the CentOS defaults (i.e. SELinux is on).
Now I'm struggling with the seemingly simple problem, that when
I put an .html file into /var/www/html/ then Apache won't serve it.
In the browser I see:

Windows TAP Problems?
Hello tincers,
I was recently trying to add a new Windows client to my tinc network and
ran into an interesting error; upon starting tinc I am met with the
usual successful startup (debug level 0; detects TAP device; Ready),
however it appears that any writes/reads from the TAP device fail with:
"Error while writing to Windows tap device <device ID truncated>: (997)

IMO, no, I don't think that would be a productive direction. I also suspect
it would have a high probability of (unintentionally) leading to exactly

After reboot of web-server accessing website shows "Forbidden", restarting httpd all is fine
Hi.
I am stuck with this one and I do not know where and how to search for this problem nor do I know how to fix it.
When I reboot one of our servers (CentOS 6.7, selinux target, yum fully updated) the http server loads fine (no erros) but when accessing one of the server's websites it displays "Forbidden", restarting the httpd server (command line) will give full access and all is

You had better to ask this kind of question to libvirt-users at redhat.com
in the future, it's a user mail listing, you may ask all kind of libvirt
usage questions if you want, the following is some reference:

during fitting of successive datasets, stall crashes iterations
Hi all,
I am trying to do fitting of large sets of timeseries data, and error
messages derail the process when I encounter a dataset that doesn't fit. I'd
like to ignore those "misfits" and try another equation or move to the next
dataset. Any ideas? (piece of code below)

download.fedora.redhat.com down? moved?
Hello all,
I'm trying to install mod_python from the normal channels via RPM,
though it seems that download.fedora.redhat.com is down, or moved?
DNS reports it does not exist.
I've seen multiple references to this domain name including on the site:

SELinux Samba Exception on EL6
We are planning to migrate to EL6 and came across this issue that I am
trying to get around.
Current system spec:
Samba-3.5.10
Selinux-policy-3.7.19
Policycoreutils-2.0.83
Autofs-5.0.5
In EL5 we disabled selinux for samba using 'smbd_disable_trans'
directive and the shares work fine. On RHEL6 I couldn't find this
Boolean. Is there an alternate directive that accomplishes
