Good day, I would like to first test and then use centos 5.5. I downloaded centos 5.5 x86_64 live CD. Problem...screen resolution only 800x600. In fedora 14 it is 1024x768, same in debian squeeze and opensuse11.3. Could there be a way to increase the resolution? in either i386 or x86_64. Thanks Regards Johan

good day, I am new to centos. Using a standalone laptop. Downloaded and burned the live cd. All seem ok except screen resolution only 800x600. Most importand I do not seem to find the install to hard disk option anywhere. Some distros I tried do have an option to install on the screen when you are happy about the OS. Good day, Installed Centos 6.3 live-cd. Looking good but * no internet connection * (wired dsl system). Other linux flavours do not seem to have this problem on my laptop and internet connection. Thanks I let GParted create the file system. It was done on a rescue disk of Ubuntu 12.04 (GParted 0.11.0) I think that the problem is in my command line. Hi, I created a 4 Meg Byte primanry DOS patition onto a hard disk. This partition was formatted with format /s. The hard drive was able to boot DOS.
