can't use godaddy SSL cert
Hey list, I was having a similar SSL/openLDAP problem to this last week. I had a chance to look at this again today and it still appears to not be working. I called godaddy and had the last cert cancelled and reissued as I had mis-typed the name of the CN on the last one. I am trying to setup a Godaddy turbo SSL certificate with an openLDAP 2.4 server under FreeBSD 8.1. The clients are mainly

virtdown script
hello list! I have a small shell script that I wrote that is meant to quickly bring down all of my xen instances in a quick and easy manner. Odd thing is, it does work on the command line. But if I put it into a script this happens: [root at LCENT03:/home/bluethundr/bin] #virtdown > it expects another command to happen. which is odd since all of the text delimiters (" and ') are

ldif invalid per syntax
Hello CentOS I am having a bit of trouble importing an ldif into openldap, tho the syntax looks a-ok to me. I am attempting to import my sudoers list into my ldap configuration and I used an application called sudoers2ldif to generate the ldif. I used the following command to import the file: ============================================= [root at bluethundr-desktop:~/txt/ldif ] $:ldapadd -h

openldap problems authenticating
Hello list, I am running an openldap 2.4 server under FreeBSD that was working well until the config was tweaked by someone on the team without properly documenting their work # /usr/local/etc/ldap.con on ldap server (FreeBSD 8.1) host LBSD.summitnjhome.com base dc=summitnjhome,dc=com sudoers_base ou=sudoers,ou=Services,dc=summitnjhome,dc=com binddn

rpm dependencies
I have successfully created a packaged version of openssh that has the LPK patch. LPK allows you to store your public keys in LDAP. However when I go to install the package I created it complains about dependencies: [root at VIRTCENT13:/home/bluethundr/rpm]#rpm -Uvh openssh-5.6p1-1.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: openssh = 5.5p1-1.el5 is needed by (installed)

migrating users to openldap
I noticed that when I migrated my users with the migrate_passwd.pl tool from PADL it didn't migrate the actual passwords (just the rest of the posixAccount info). I think I need to set the EXTENDED_SCHEMA variable and then try running the tool again. does anyone know what this should be? I actually thought there might be a migrate_shadow.pl tool that could accomplish this, but there

Help with efficient double sum of max (X_i, Y_i) (X & Y vectors)
Greetings. For R gurus this may be a no brainer, but I could not find pointers to efficient computation of this beast in past help files. Background - I wish to implement a Cramer-von Mises type test statistic which involves double sums of max(X_i,Y_j) where X and Y are vectors of differing length. I am currently using ifelse pointwise in a vector, but have a nagging suspicion that there is a

adding user ldif to ldap
hi list.. I am trying to add an ldif with my users that I have derived from /etc/passwd. for some reason ldapadd is choking on the first entry... I've also tried removing the first one and predictably each one fails in exactly the same way...may I ask how best to correct this? Here is the error: LDAP# ldapadd -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=summitnjhome,dc=com" -W -f /tmp/passwd.ldif adding

ssh failed only with nfs home directory
Hey all, Having a weird ssh issue I'd like some opinions on. If I have my home directory mounted on the NFS server itself, I get permission denied when I try to ssh into it. The correct permissions and ownership are on the home directory, ssh directory and the authorized_users file. Here's what a verbose ssh session looks like: #ssh -v bluethundr at nfs1.example.com OpenSSH_6.2p2,

[RFC PATCH v3] Intrinsics/RTCD related fixes. Mostly x86.
From: Jonathan Lennox <jonathan at vidyo.com> * Makes ?enable-intrinsics work with clang and other non-GCC compilers * Enables RTCD for the floating-point-mode SSE code in Celt. * Disables use of RTCD in cases where the compiler targets an instruction set by default. * Enables the SSE4.1 Silk optimizations that apply to the common parts of Silk when Opus is built in floating-point mode, not
