nspluginwrapper failure on x86_64 in 5.2
This was working in 5.1 - I am now getting errors when I try to run a flash video in seamonkey under CetnOS 5.2. Here is the error: For application/x-shockwave-flash found plugin /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so sh: /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer: No such file or directory Here is what I have installed: $rpm -qa | grep -i nsplugin

nspluginwrapper
As the subject of nspluginwrapper came up recently, it might be worth mentioning that it's not properly documented. The README seems to be the official nspluginwrapper README, which, oddly enough, states that it's used with the command nspluginwrapper However, RedHat based systems seem to all use mozilla-config-plugin. (I'm not sure about other distributions--FreeBSD uses the more

Missing NSPluginWrapper.in ReleaseNotes for 5.2
Hello, I just searched the wiki for info about NSPluginWrapper. It's a plugin for Firefox which creates a kind of bridge between i386-plugins and a x86_64 browser. That aside... Well, looking for the string "NSPluginWrapper" and doing a text-search, the only hit is the Japanese version of the Release Notes!? I don't understand any of the text, but I interpret that the

nspluginwrapper included in CentOS 5.2 fails completely
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I run CentOS 5.2 x86_64 on my workstation at home. Since 5.2 came out with nepluginwrapper bundled into it, none of my plugins work. I thought it was just a problem with the flash plugin, but neither the mplayerplug-in plugins nor the adobe acrobat reader plugin work, either. I have this problem both with the Seamonkey contributed 64-bit build

gecko-libs dependency resurfaces
In doing an update of centos 5.2 this morning, I observed that the old gecko-libs dependency issue caused yum update to fail because it was required by nspluginwrapper (x64_86), devhelp, yelm and firefox. Also, a firefox (x64_86) showed the red hat splash screen rather than centos. Manual installation of affected rpms using --nodeps (I don't advise this) did not apear to impair the

scp 2.9.9p2 doesn't work
I just upgraded openssh on my Solaris 8 boxes from 2.9p2 to 2.9.9p2, and scp has stopped working. Remote logins with ssh do work, though. Both client and server run 2.9.9p2. Please let me know if you need more information (configure options, config files etc.). I'm not on the list, so CC's would be appreciated. Thanks! $ scp vsftpd-0.9.2.tar.gz user at server:/usr/local/src/misc/ftp

SNMP monitoring
It seems it's not possible to monitor kvm virtual image network interfaces via SNMP. MRTG's cfgmaker says ### The following interface is commented out because: ### * has no ifSpeed property and other monitors are consistently reporting that vm's interfaces are exceeding traffic thresholds (even on lo ...). Which is no surprise if the threshold is zero. I found a hint on some

Adobe Flash Install Woes
I am having a hell of a time getting adobe flash to work on a recent 5.2 install. >From rpm install: Running firefox as root -- I have verified there is a symlink in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins that points to the actual plugin located in /usr/lib/flash-plugins nada. SoI then copied the plugin directly into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and eliminated the symlink from the equation. nada. I then

Good things about CentOS 5; problem with flash in seamonkey
I'd like to point out that overall I am quite pleased with CentOS 5, although I am having more fun with it than I did with 4.4 and I knew less about CentOS then (duh). Most things seem to work fine, including a relatively smooth installation from the DVD image I downloaded, although the number of screensavers I can see (and this could be related to the ATI/dual head problem) is pathetically

No sound from Adobe flash player 9.0.31 on CentOS 4.4 x86_64
I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64 system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox - doesn't matter) I get no sound. I'm using the nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.4 to make it work at all, but there's no sound. All my other sound devices/players work just fine, even my Windows guest on VMWare Server. Any ideas/suggestions? VMs failing to restart
This is a problem I've had on and off under CentOS5 and CentOS6, with both xen and kvm. Currently, it happens consistently with kvm on 6.5, e.g. with every kernel update. I *think* it generally worked fine with the 6.4 kernels. There are 7 VMs running on a 6.5, x86_64, 8GB RAM host, each with 512MB RAM and using the e1000 NIC. I picked this specific NIC because the default does not allow

bleah
Not to be a bitch, but I've asked several times about some basic questions or examples to clarify the essentials for configuration. What do some of the parameters mean? Expecially the ones that are mentioned only one in a paragraph and no where else in the documentation or wiki. (ie: login_process_per_use) And there have been a few others as well. that I won't bother to repeat. But
