control panels, like or dislike?
When I first started using webservers I leased shared hosting. Then I moved to vps. Then to dedicated. In all that I was with various control panels. In almost all cases bugs in those control panels would cause all sorts of issues. (ensim, cpanel, plesk). The load on the server seemed greatly increased (especially with ensim). When I built my first server 4 years ago I decided to heck with

Open Source CPanel equivalent for CentOS?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a solid, reliable Open Source equivalent of Cpanel/Plesk that I can run on my CentOS boxes. I've done some searching around and find a bunch of them which seem to have stopped or stalled development, but I am figuring that there has got to be a strong market / demand for something out there. Is anyone using something secure, solid and complete? I

CentOS and Wordpress
Hi All, I am currently am responsible for maintaining a website built on Apache 2, running on some CentOS 4 (64 bit version) boxes. Thus far, the website has comprised a few HTML pages, and some dynamic pages generated by perl scripts. The CentOS install is pretty vanilla -- the only departure I've made from the default server install is to install awstats from the rpmforge repositories.

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs fixes
The only non-fix here is Joel's new configfs convenience macros, but nobody is using them yet, so I think the patch is safe. By the way, these patches (as usual) are all rebased on top of your latest tree. I think that since the vast majority of ocfs2 and configfs patches are self-contained and within a small area of the kernel that this should probably be fine. If you feel otherwise however,

overall comparison of an ordered categorical in a multiple regression
I entered the following: formula<-nst~age+soc+inc+reg+imp pnstlm<-lm(formula,nst) summary(pnstlm) imp and soc are ordered categorical variables but the summary does not give an output of the overall p-values, just individual comparisons. I can't find help for this in the manual. Is there a command or option change in the summary to find out the overall p-value? thank you in
