Fitting Mixed Distributions in the fitdistrplus package
Dear Charles, Please, when you have questions about fitdistrplus, contact directly the authors of the package and not R-help. When fitting non ? standard ? distributions with fitdistrplus, you should define by yourself the density and the cumulative distribution functions, or load a package which define them. See FAQ for a general example :

Xen on Centos 5.5 vs 5.3 and stability issues
I've recently upgraded a Centos 5.3 machine to Centos 5.5. The hardware isn't HVM capabile so I'm only running para-virt guests. Using a vanilla i386 kernel boots without, but the newer kernel-xen locks up the Dom0 after a couple of minute. I'm only booting into single user mode for these tests so no VMs are active. *kernel-xen-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 - no issues

Network card not working after update to 2.6.18-194.17.4.el5
Hello, the network card of my workstation stopped working after I updated the kernel to 2.6.18-194.17.4.el5 . I don't see any specific error messages when booting, and the related interface is shown as up by ifconfig with its (static) IP address properly set. But I cannot reach any other computer or router on the LAN (whereas other boxes work fine). Where the network cable is plugged, an

Corrupted RPM DB can't be rebuilt.
Alle, I have a major problem. I'm running CentOS 5.5 on some rather old hardware (Dual Celeron 500MHz with 768MB of memory). Sometime in the last week, the DB became corrupted (I noticed when yum update would hang). I've tried running rpm --rebuild with both the 2.6.18-194.17.4 and 2.6.18-194.26.1 kernels and get a segmentation fault each time. Consequently, I'm pretty much stuck

dahdi module disappears from AsteriskNow after kernel update
I updated an AsteriskNow system to 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5 with yum update. Upon reboot dahdi modules cannot be found. In yum.log I see that kmod-mISDN, kmod-dahdi-linux and kmod-dahdi-linux-fwload-vpmadt032 were all deleted during the update. I reinstalled the deleted packages but the dahdi modules can still not be found. They do seem to be under /lib/modules/2.6.18-194.17.4.el5, but no for the
