Returned mail: User unknown
Hi List;
I keep getting emails similar to the text below. I/We own the domain
dataintellect.com and we have email addresses setup however I always see a
bogus dataintellect.com email address as the sender.
-or is this simply a random spam email?
Thanks in advance for any advice...

An orphaned package? anyone in Switzerland know if there's an
alternative?
Note the email.
I guess CRAN-R should be notified.

DID not working? + sendmail problems
I have a box running *@Home 1.0 and I noticed today when I went to
change some settings to do with the DID's that it is no longer detecting
the different lines.
I have a Digium 4 port line card and Im pretty sure that the DID's used
to work when I used fxs_ks signaling on them. However I changed to
fxs_ls signaling because the ks wasn't detecting when people were
hanging up properly.

lmtp and recipient_delimiter
Hi list,
I have a small problem with recipient_delimiters contained in usernames.
Recently I have extended recipient_delimiter from "+" to "+-" in both
Postfix and Dovecot (using lmtp) and now any user that have a '-' in it's
username can't receive mail anymore, because lmtp truncates the localpart
after the '-' and of course can't find the first

Sendmail Configuration Problem - 550 5.1.1 - User unknown Problem
Hi,
I'm having this Sendmail configuration problem and stuck. I've been doing googling/reading posts and none of the solutions matched my problem.
I'm doing some testing, and have been getting this 550 5.1.1 ....User unknown error when I send the email to my company's email address. When I send it to an external email address, such as yahoo, the message delivered successfully.

Using lmtp to authenticate email users
FreeBSD 11.2
Postfix 3.3.2
Dovecot 2.3.4
I am trying to use dovecot lmtp with postfix to verify authentication of
incoming email and to avoid being a spam relay (an issue I was having using
sendmail as my MTA).
I am getting the following log message in /var/log/maillog:

auth-worker temporary failures causing lmtp 500 rejection
Hi there,
I'm using dovecot 2.0.16 with a mysql user database. From time to time
when we have a big influx of messages (perhaps more than 30 concurrent
rcpt to:<> sessions at the same time so no auth-workers free?) or when
we have a transient issue connecting to the database server, we see the
message:
Jan 25 16:38:23 mailbox dovecot: auth-worker: sql(foo at bar.com,1.2.3.4):

dovecot lda bouncing postfix aliases
Recently configured postfix to use the dovecot lda as I wanted to use
sieve. Got that working a few days ago but noticed that I wasn't getting
any emails to aliases. Checked the logs and saw messages like:

puppetmanaged.org ?
Anyone from puppetmanaged.org listening to this list ?
The web page to create an account <http://www.puppetmanaged.org/user/register> is busted.
The CAPTCHA does not show up and you cannot register without it.
So I tried their mailing list -- <http://www.puppetmanaged.org/mailman/listinfo>
I was able to join, but then my attempt to post to the list bounced:

LDA questions
Hello,
I am looking at the docs and I see this:
Problems with deliver
Namespaces are supported with v1.1 and later. With v1.0 and older
versions mails can be delivered only to mailboxes specified by the
mail_location setting.
But in the dovecot.conf I see:
# NOTE: Namespaces currently work ONLY with IMAP! POP3 and LDA currently
ignore
# namespaces completely, they use only the mail_location

Unexpected behavior with sieve_vacation_to_header_ignore_envelope = yes
Hello,
we face an issue with the vacation extension of pigeonhole. Our upstream
mail server (from which we pull our E-Mails with POP3) uses SPF and
performs a SRS re-write of the Return Path. Once the mail is processed
via our local postfix, it is delivered via dovecot deliver (using the
lda). When the recipient has a vacation rule enabled in sieve, the
out-of-office note cannot be sent, as

Postfix and LDAP
Hi Everyone,
I thought I'd try asking here before joining the postfix mail list
since I'm running postfix on a CentOS 7 box.
I want to look up accounts via LDAP (an IPA server also on CentOS 7). I
created an "ldap_aliases" file and successfully tested it with the
postmap command: I can get the email address for an arbitrary user.
But, when I add the very same file to main.cf, I
