The old one (spike) is setup as a file server, etc. and the print services date back to the early 2.0 days. It is currently running 2.2.2 with the original printer setup. The printing works ok with this server. People can print using features of the

network connection crashes
Since I get any response I try again -- hoping that somebody have ANY idea! A network with a RedHat 6.0 linux server and samba 2.0.6 and Windows 95 clients: When I for example copy large (binary?) files from local drives to one of my Samba shares I VERY often experience that the network connection to the Win95 machine crashes. The lovely Windows Blue-Screen message about an exception appears,

[PATCH 1/5] fat: fix minfatsize for large FAT32
Hi Ady, Your insightful post prompted me to to a little bit more digging as to how the Ridgecrop algorithm computed its FAT size, with the result of my investigations presented below. NB: For those who don't want to go through this whole part, there's a TL;DR near the end. For reference, the computation of the FAT size all done in the GetFATSizeSectors(), the code of which is at [1]

How can I set NIC duplex before installation?
Hello, I have installed CentOS 5 onto a server this afternoon using NFS. The NFS 'server' has a 100Mb/full-duplex interface, the server I installed CentOS on to has 4 x 100Mb interfaces. However, the installation was painfully slow to start with, and by using ctrl-alt-f2/f4/f5 I could see that contact with the NFS server was intermitently failing. Soon after some of the packages had

No full duplex communication ?
Hey list ! I'm getting the feedback of a customer that a conversation is like half duplex : when he talks, the other end of the call is no longer heard. What could be the cause of these drop-outs ? A call that is coming in from the PSTN is routed through an IVR-system to the correct internal SIP-phone (Grandstream GXP2020). Where do I start searching for this problem ? -------------- next

Duplex Printing
Hi People, This may be slightly off topic if so please let me know. My situation is I have a bunch of Fedora clients connecting to a CentOS Printer server (setup using cups). I have gone through and used Vendor supplied ppd files where possible. And basic printing is working. But, Duplex printing doesn't. The Printers I am using are mostly Brother / HP with a few MFD's from
