installing gtkmm
Hi,
I've been building a gtkmm project on ubuntu and things run smoothly. Now i have to move the project to CentOS 5.4. I set up rpm forge and installed gtkmm. Turns out that the package on rpmforge is too old that my project doesn't compile. I wonder if there is other way to get newer version of gtkmm and all its dependencies instead of manually install them?

gtkmm-2.4 for Eiciel?
Hi everyone,
I'd like a nice frontend to setfacl and getfacl. I'm getting lost with
those ACL commands. I've found Eiciel which is a nice gnome frontend to
setup ACLs. The problem is it need gtkmm-2.4, and centos seems to have
gtkmm-2.0 only.
Is there a safe way to upgrade? Do you have a repo to suggest? Or
anyone knows of another graphical ACL editor with more conservative

gtkmm 3.0?
I am a newbie so this may be a question with an obvious answer.
Is there a (practical) way to get gtkmm 3.0 on Centos 6. It comes with
gtimm 2.4 and at one point in my random surfing, I thought I found the
newer version in the testing section. But I am having trouble getting
access to the packages in the testing section, and am not entirely sure
what to do if I actually could get access.

[LLVMdev] linker error (llvm-config, eclipse)
Hi,
I'm playing around with llvm and the Kaleidoscope tutorial and first of
all I have to say I'm really impressed. LLVM rocks!
Unfortunately I've now run into a linker error while trying to optimize
the IR or turn it to bitcode and likely due to my very limited
experience with c++ I just can't figure out how to resolve it.
The linker complains that the llvm::WriteBitcodeToFile

The `llvm-config ...` and `pkg-config ...` sections need to be at the
end. That ought to get you going.

tinc configuration gui
Hello Tinc Developers,
I am interested in creating a graphical user interface for tinc. I
believe if there was an interface for configuring tinc, it would be more
user friendly. I wish to implement an interface that will configure tinc
by creating all the nessesary configuration files and explain all the
available options. I would also like it to act as a monitor and
providing information about

Hi all,
I'm using Debian, I want to make a local repository which can let me
install packages more conveniently.
Considering that the rsync tool is the Debian official proposed tool for
syncing the files among its different rsync server sites, I use the rsync
client to downloading the deb packages from the different rsync servers
distributed around the world-wide for good loadbalancing and

mulitple OpenGL contexts in single window
Hi,
I have a GTKmm application that uses two separate OpenGL widgets
within the same window. When running under Compiz, I am getting some
strange behaviour. Everything is fine when it is disabled.
Essentially what happens is that any resize of the widgets causes X to
hang for a second or two. After that, one of the OpenGL windows no
longer gets properly updated.
I've attached a

Renviron settings for Linux Distributions: please tell me R Core's advice
Dear R-devel:
i have noticed a little wrinkle in R packaging for RPM systems and
have communicated with the package maintainer at RedHat Tom Callaway
(see far below).
Here is the question:
Where does R Core Team want packagers to fiddle around with R library paths?
Currently, the RPM Spec file used for EPEL's R (For
Fedora/Redhat/Centos,etc) adds a line in R_HOME/etc/Renviron like

Puppetdashboard 1.1.0 spec file
Hello,
Does anyone have a good spec file for puppet dashboard 1.1.0, as the
one supplied in the sourcecode is for 1.0.4
and tries to copy some directories, that don''t exist anymore.
I did some remodelling in the file, so it creates a rpm now, but I''m
not sure whether my "fix" is the only change needed.
