Limit bandwidth per IP
I would like to limit the amount of bandwidth each IP in a network gets. For example I have a network that runs at 10mbit. I have a class C 192.168.1.0/24 that makes up this network. Is there any simple way I can say each IP in that class C gets 56k with out making a rule for each IP? Meaning of loads/stores marked both atomic and volatile

It think that 'atomic volatile' is very useful. Consider following pseudo-code examples, where all loads and stores are atomic (with some memory

Limit bandwidth per client
Hi all, I have an installation where each user on subnet 192.168.1.0/24 is connected via a multiplexer. The problem is that if any client uses more than about 48Kb/s, the multiplexer crashes. I need to limit each client to under this rate, say 32Kb/s. I have seen examples on creating a class per host but is there a simple way of saying "any host from 192.168.1.0/24" so I dont have

Passing lists between functions
I'd like to pass a list object created by one function as an argument of another function. once inside the second function, I'd like to break the list up to it's individual elements, each then identifiable by the 'names' of the list. The list looks something like lst<-list(a=1, b=2, df=5, g=7) then inside the function I've been writing a sequence of statements that

Identify points that lie within polygon
I have a complex 2D polygon with thousands of vertices, and I'd like to be able to identify points from a large set contained within the polygon, and was wondering if there might be an efficient way of doing this? Any advice would be useful! Here is a small example of what I mean: # make polygon v1<-c(0,1,1,2,1,3,6,7) v2<-c(1,3,3,5,6,7,8,9) plot(v1, v2, type = "n" )

newbie graphics question: Two density plots in same frame ?
I swear I've scoured the help files and several texts before posting what feels like a dumb newbie question. How can I draw two kernel density plots in the same frame ? I have similar variables in two separate data frames, and I would like to show their two histograms/densities in a single picture. Same units, scale, range for both, so I'm simply trying to draw one and then add the

Re[2]: bandwidth limitation per dynamic IP
mod_bandwidth (and all apache mods) only can average many, small responses. They can''t effectively throttle traffic for large downloads since download speeds are averaged between entire files. This is why I''m looking at lartc. Mike _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO:

Bandwidth shaping per users with pam_auth
I am using squid with pam_auth and delay pools to control the banwidth to the inet access. The problem, of course, is that 80% of the bandwidth is wasted. So the idea is to make the same rules but with HTB or IMQ. I did it by mac-address but the problem is that the users move from a side to another one so this doens''t work. I think to solve it using mark with iptables. For each user i

Limiting bandwidth to around max. 8k per second - possible? Working?
Hello, I am using the latest binary download from vp32.com, just as a starter. We try using the VP32 codec in a video conferencing application, replacing Intel indeo for obvious reasons. I must note that I have considered contacting ON2 for a license of the VP5 codec, but after sending emails for amore than a week and never getting back calls after they were announced, and after not reaching

Yes, that sounds like a good idea :-) Well, maybe on the weekend. I have managed to pass by any sort of "bitmap manipulation" so far. Actually I would propably take off 4 pixels :-) Thomas Tomiczek THONA Consulting Ltd.
