installing packages on OS X -- lgfortran problem
I am trying to install two packages that are not available at CRAN (rmutil, dna). When trying the R CMD INSTALL with either file, I get an error message that ends with /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1/libtool: can't locate file for: -lgfortran /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1/libtool: file: -lgfortran is not an object file (not allowed in a library) Can anyone

RSPerl & OS X
Hi, I'm wanting to call R from Perl via the RSPerl package. However I cannot seem to install it on my Macbook (OS X Tiger - R 2.6 - Perl 5.8.6). I try to install the source downloaded from the sigmahat website - but it seems to fail - when I search my system for R.pm - I can't find it? Something looks to be going wrong with the make bits? Cheers David M ---- $ R CMD INSTALL

Bug in TailDuplicator?
Hi, I think there might be a bug in the tail duplicator (called from MachineBlockPlacement in my case), when duplicating a block that contains an implicit fall-through. Suppose you have the following blocks BB#1: Predecessors according to CFG: BB#2 ... conditional_branch <BB#3> < implicit fall-through to BB#2 > Successors according to CFG: BB#2 BB#3 BB#2:

Free Fax for Asterisk -- benchfax utility hangs.
I'm trying to install my first channel of FAX. When I run the benchfax utility, I get to various stages and then the program simply hangs. There is no excessive CPU utilization and the benchfax program readily responds to ^C. Sometimes I get fairly far into the test, other times it hangs almost immediately. The version of benchfax version I'm using is 1.0.7. I heard tell of a newer

Install RSPerl in Leopard
Hi, I am having problems installing RSPerl 0.92-1 in my Mac OSX 10.5.1. I?ve installed correctly R-2.6.1 with the .mpkg. I run the next command: <R CMD INSTALL --configure-args=' --with-in- perl ' RSPerl> And the next error message appears: RSPerl * Installing to library '/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/ library' * Installing *source* package

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and -march
The -arch option is handled by Apple's "driver-driver", and the MacPorts build is probably not using that. See the driverdriver.c source file in llvm-gcc for details. linking R to goto blas
Dear all, I am currently trying to link R 2.1.0 to the GOTO BLAS 0.99.3 library on a box running Fedora Core 3 , basically following the steps indicated in the R-Admin document: 1: I downloaded the current libgoto.xxx.so from http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kgoto/libraries/libgoto_prescott-32-r0.99-3.so.gz, a version suitable for our XEON machine (Nocona core), unpacked it to /usr/lib and created

Using XEN 4.1 to run Windows 7 DOMU on SERVER1, replicated the HVM to SERVER2 using DRBD. Win7 DOMU doesn't boot in SERVER2 after replication
Hi All, I'm new to XEN and using XEN 4.1 on UBUNTU to run Win7 guest. I've 2 Servers(both UBUNTU 12), where Server1 is configured with full Win7 guest installation on a partition(It works fine). Now as i use DRBD to replicate this partition into Server2 system and try to boot the Win7 DOMU from harddisk, I get below mentioned error - Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or

Reserved/Unallocatable Registers
Hi Matthias, This pretty much matches my memory. I think that the rules are a bit ad hoc and not followed to the letter everywhere. It would be good to codify something concrete. I thought that I added some way of distinguishing between constant registers and other reserved registers but I can’t find it now. We do some register coalescing that is not consistent with your rules here: If a virtual

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and -march
So my original post subject was for -march, but that was my mistake. The command line option is -arch. Since presumably Macports is just fetching an llvm tar ball from some repository, is the issue that llvm has been misconfigure in some obvious way? Yes, I can take a look at the driverdriver.c source file as well. Should this also be working in LLVM 2.9 or is the latest SVN also needed? On
