same Old question: 32 bits VS 64 bits on database performance
We have several large projects will use ORACLE 10Gr2 database with CENTOS 4.X. Does anyone have performance report on 32 Bits O.S. (with 32 bit ORACLE) VS 64 bits? Thanks. ____________________________________________________________________________________ ????????????? - ???? Yahoo!??????http://tw.info.yahoo.com/seal/index.html

session[:return_to] for going back.
Hi, Is session[:return_to] something Rails maintains to quickly go back to the previous uri without having to keep track of the action name? Or, do we have to actually set it in our actions? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://wrath.rubyonrails.org/pipermail/rails/attachments/20060510/7e36a528/attachment.html

I''m new to ROR, and am working my way through the Agile Web Development Book. In the test application, the authors tell me to test my database connection by performing "rake db:migrate". Can''t run rails
Yesterday, I was having a problem with db:migrate. I was told my version of rails was too old, and I needed to install it from gems instead of the version in my version of Ubuntu. Since then, I''ve done that, and I built ruby 1.8.4 from source and installed it. The installation was to /usr/local/bin. As my distribution had put ruby 1.8.3 in /usr/bin, I renamed that and put a link to

Kernel types and xen caps : PV/HVM, 32/64 bit, PAE/non-PAE
Hi Is there a doc/wiki page which explains, the kind of domu images/appliances/kernels can be run with what type of dom0 kernels(xen_caps). For example : -- Can a 32 bit, non-PAE domU run on 64 bit, PAE dom 0 in PV mode ? (or HVM mode ?) Are there any checks that can be done before doing the migration ? Is there any programmatic way (from python) to find out if the kernel in a domU disk
