link_to_image - Remove Border
Hi All,
I am new to both Ruby and Rails, so please be patient with me. I am
currently working on a view for a controller and I have used the
following excerpt:
<td><%= link_to_image "b_edit", :action => ''edit'', :id => part_prefix
%></td>
The image is being displayed and the link is working. However, the

executing an error prone function without stopping a script
Dear R Users,
I've used this a long time ago but have forgotten. Trawling aroung the various sources somehow does not lead me to it. How can I execute an error prone function without stopping a script if it goes wrong ?
Thanks in advance,
Tolga

tinc throughput on alix machines
Hi,
I've setup a wlan ap using a an alix 2d2 (AMD Geode LX 500 Mhz + AES
Offload)
and am now trying to encapsulate the wlan traffic into a vpn (tap bridge).
Though even when disabling crypto and digest (there is a crypto engine
onboard
can be setup to handle tinc encryption), the best throughput I get
is aroung 2,9 MByte per second (wget+http) (even if the client is run
locally).

smbd 3.6.9-151 Red Hat EL 6 crashes from time to time
Hi,
we still run a Red Hat EL 6.x samba-3.6.9-151 PDC with domain login,
roaming profiles, Windws 7 clients and LDAP back end.
In the last couple of weeks we notice some unregular crashes with abrt
reports. But as an university our RH subscription dose not include the
full support.
I cant see any changes to the installation or configuration which might
have an influence to the chrashes.

tan(mu) link in GLM
Hi Folks,
I am interested in extending the repertoire of link functions
in glm(Y~X, family=binomial(link=...)) to include a "tan" link:
eta = (4/pi)*tan(mu)
i.e. this link bears the same relation to the Cauchy distribution
as the probit link bears to the Gaussian. I'm interested in sage
advice about this from people who know their way aroung glm.

Encoding and Compression --- where is the nitpick?
Greetings,
I'm playing aroung with the library and try to encode some PCM samples
out of a WAVE file.
I recognized that my own encoding is bigger than the encoding with the
command line tool and I can't figure out why it is so. I tried some API
functions to get a better result but I missed.

Need AMD debugging help
To all who have an AMD + Windows based PC:
I have gotten a few similar bug reports about encoding
errors with FLAC. The common features are:
- Repeatedly encoding the same file with verify will have
verify errors some of the time (looks like aroung 50%) and
the verify errors will occur in different places each time.
- This is happening on AMD PCs running Windows. More reports

ctdb samba and winbind event problem
Hi to all,
I'm having a CTDB-Cluster with two nodes (both Ubuntu wit
Sernet-packages 4.17.4). Now I want to replace one of the nodes. The
first step was to bring a new node to the CTDB-Cluster. This time a
Debian 11 but with the same sernet-packages (4.17.4). Adding the new
node to /etc/ctdb/nodes at the end of the list. And the virtual IP to
/etc/ctdb/public_addresses, also at the end

permissions not transferred using robocopy, xxcopy, net share migrate shares
Hello:
I've been working for a few days on getting a FreeBSD 5.3 server up and
running as a samba data backup server.
My goal is to schedule periodic backups of our file server. After reading
recommendations (e.g. by Mr. Terpstra) I've focused my attempts aroung
robocopy, xxcopy, net rpc share migrate shares.
However, I'm running into stumbling blocks that seem to involve a problem
