Mock on 5.5 x86_64 failing with Could not find useradd in chroot, maybe the install failed?
I am atempting to work with some rpms in the c5-testing repo. When I add: [c5-testing] name=CentOS-5 Testing baseurl=http://dev.centos.org/centos/5/testing/x86_64/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://dev.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-testing to centos-5-x86_64.cfg, saving as centos-5-x86_64-testdev.cfg I get the aformentioned error. what requires lm_sensors?
I found that lm_sensors got installed because of a dependency on my first Xen VM that I updated to 5.3. lm_sensors doesn't make sense in a VM. I thought, ok let's check after the update who wants it. However: rpm -q --whatrequires lm_sensors no package requires lm_sensors (same for --triggeredby with lm_sensors or the packages below) Trying to remove lm_sensors reveals these packages:

[OT] building src rpm on RHEL5 using mock https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680144
Does anyone have experience using mock on RHEL5 with the RHN? I use mock easily on Centos, I get errors like /bin/sh not found, useradd not found build failed? messages from it on RHEL w/ RHN. Any suggestions on where to start looking. -Jason Pyeron -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - - - Jason

Yum provider using version-release as version?
Hi, I''m using yum as our package provider and having an issue. Puppet is complaining of the version, this is the code I''m trying to implement: $snmp_version = "5.3.2.2" package { "net-snmp": ensure => "${snmp_version}"; } On the client I got: debug: //Node[client.example.com]/snmp::base/Package[net-snmp]: Changing ensure debug:

Unable to build DAHDI-Linux in mock chroot
Unfortunately, after http://git.asterisk.org/gitweb/?p=dahdi/linux.git;a=commitdiff;h=6cebc1c1fb12cc0661f3810ef47ad33206b2e398 I am unable to build DAHDI-Linux in a mock chroot for packaging purposes. I believe this is related to the Makefile calling install_firmware with only 2 args, where install_firmware is a shell script with DESTDIR set to $3, which is empty. In this case, the DESTDIR

Mock Shell Arch Command
I've successfully rebuilt Red Hat EL PHP 5.2.10 RPMs using mock on a CentOS 5.4 i386. I wanted to be able to build both x86_64 and i386 versions so I reinstalled my builder system with CentOS 5.4 x86_64. Now I can build the PHP RPM successful for x86_64, but i386 fails with the following during configure /usr/bin/net-snmp-config: line 43: net-snmp-config-x86_64: command not found For the

mock and iaxmodem
I am trying to build an rpm package for iaxmodem-1.2.0. At the moment I am still trying to get a working spec file put together. I have managed to get an SRPM produced but the binary build from this fails due to there being no install task in the Makefile.in provided with the source. I have found a spec file from opensuse that provides this in the install portion: %build [

php-snmp
Hello list. Anyone have a php rpm with snmp enabled or a php-nsmp rpm? I need to build some php pages and would like to use the snmp function that are built in. If there is another way to enable it by not using one of these rpm's that would be great too. TIA Dan

php-snmp : spec, rpms, srpms.
Hello, I just built a complete php suite including php-snmp RPM. (php-snmp-4.3.2-19.ent.i386.rpm). I inspired myself from this bugzilla page: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/beta/show_bug.cgi?id=123149 can I upload binaries, sources and specfile somewhere to share it with you ? I was thinking about "Extras" repository ? why not ? cya -- Martin
