Trouble getting all my com-ports (ttyS*)
I just installed CentOS 5.1 on a Dell Vostro 200 (Intel G33) which has a
Sunix PCI-Express (x1) 8-port RS-232 card installed. For me it looks
like only 4 ports are recognized, but I'm not sure if it's even working
with those 4.

CentOS-5 Need Help With Serial Ports
I have been struggling with setting up two serial ports on an HP/Compaq
D512S (Intel P4) under CentOS-5. I am not at all sure why these things
were not auto-configured when I initially installed the CentOS system from
CDs but they were not.
I have found various resources on the web and from them uncovered the
setserial utility. What I need from somebody is guidance on how to use
this utility to

School cloud solution
This really isn't a CentOS specific queation but that is our server OS of choice.
I manage a student file server and i would like to add cloud access to it. Basically i would like our students to have access to the same files at home that they have at school. This would allow them to start an asignment at home, finish it at school, and print it off without having to worry about losing their

Forcing ifcfg-eth0 to use the same nic in multi nic machine
I am new to CentOS (coming from Fedora) and I really like it!
I am having difficulty getting one of my machines to boot and assign
the same designation of eth0 and eth1 to the same nics consistantly.
I have an MSI motherboard with 2 nics on the board. Strangely enough
both nics report the same MAC address. This is not an issue since I
use the computer to route between two different subnets so

and wanted to install NUT to monitor the unit.
I searched the mailing

different and the unit was slightly different (900 AVR).
My server is

Authentication across two samba domains to a client share
I am a sysadmin at a small private school and I am trying to run a
program across two different domains.
Here is the basic setup. I have a staff and a student domain
controlled by Samba on two different servers. Some staff can
authenticate on both servers (using the same user name and password)
but no students can log into staff computers. All client computers
are running Windows XP Pro.

Hi,
On a regular FC4 machine there are 76 device file for /dev/ttyS*.
I tried running minicom on a Xen machine (domain 0) whose serial port
is connected to a different machine (a machine with no VGA/Keyboard/Mouse).

Device /dev/ttyS1 access failed: No such file or directory.
So I checked, and

Issue with Libguestfs
Hi,
I'm using SolusVM control panel to create KVM VPS. Suddenly, I can't make
any VPS on Host-Node. Their build log says the SolusVM can't read the
libguestfs in server.
During the debug, I've tried to mount existing VPS using guestmount command
and I can't mount the KVM image.
Please check here.
