Fencing a Dell T110 II
I think I know the answer to this question based on all of the research
I've done, but figured I'd ask anyway.
I needed a couple of servers for an HA cluster, and our "order" guy here
ordered me a couple of Dell PowerEdge T110 II. I'd planned on using IPMI
to fence these things with, but later found out that this model is only
one of two PE servers Dell sells that has a

High Availability and Storage Cluster
Dear mailing list members,
There was a branch about clusters, but I have a certain task.
There are two servers with CentOS 5.5 installed.
The servers are working with Zabbix (monitoring system for traffic,
using a MySQL), wiki and RT (all are using Apache).
If one server will have became not available then necessary start these
services on another server with replication of data.
Can I use

disabling self-fencing
Hi all,
on my nodes I have another cluster manager running that takes care of
fencing the node, is it safe to disable ocfs2 self-fencing?
Details:
I'm using ocfs2 over drbd in master/master aka primary/primary mode.
In case of loss of network connectivity I would like to disconnect the
drbd device, invalidate it and unmount the filesystem but ocfs2
reboots the node....
Is it possible to

Question about clustering
Hi list,
I'm new to clustering, and I'm running a little cluster at home. The
cluster is running on a workstation hardware and running on Centos 6.5.
Component: corosync, pacemaker, drbd and pcs. All works good.
This cluster has different resources:
1) drbd0
2) drbd1
3) drbd0_fs
4) drbd1_fs
5) pgsql
6) smb + nmb
7) libvirt (lbs)
8) libvirt_guests (lsb)

Cluster Failover Troubleshooting (luci and ricci)
Hello all. I posted this in the forum and was told to instead post it to
the mailing list. My apologies for the redundancy if you have already
seen and been irritated by my blatherings.
Thanks.

Recover botched drdb gfs2 setup .
Hi.
The short story... Rush job, never done clustered file systems before,
vlan didn't support multicast. Thus I ended up with drbd working ok
between the two servers but cman / gfs2 not working, resulting in what
was meant to be a drbd primary/primary cluster being a primary/secondary
cluster until the vlan could be fixed with gfs only mounted on the one
server. I got the single server

KVM HA
Hi,
I have two KVM hosts (CentOS 7) and would like them to operate as High Availability servers,
automatically migrating guests when one of the hosts goes down.
My question is: Is this even possible? All the documentation for HA that I've found appears to not
do this. Am I missing something?
My configuration so fare includes:
* SAN Storage Volumes for raw device mappings for guest vms

Cluster Related Question
I am not sure this is the proper forum for this question, feel free to
redirect me if you like to the correct place.
I have the following setup:
vmware esxi
2 CentOS 5.3 servers (vmware virtual hosts)
these 2 servers are running conga(luci, ricci) and the rest of the
cluster suite with a simple IP address setup to failover for testing.
My problem comes in when I need to setup fencing for

You could also use pacemaker to manage promoting the drbd device and
mounting it with a dead master role as a dependency. Are you using anything
to automatically promote the send slave already?

scsi3 persistent reservations in cluster storage fencing
I'm interested in the idea of sharing a bunch of SAS JBOD devices
between two CentOS servers in an active-standby HA cluster sort of
arrangement, and found something about using scsi3 persistent
reservations as a fencing method. I'm not finding a lot of specifics
about how this works, or how you configure two initiator systems on a
SAS chain. I don't have any suitable

Feel free to kick me to the DRBD people if this is not relevent here.

ESXi 4.1 and Cluster Fencing
Hi.
I'm new to configuring Clustering .
The CentOS 5.5 guest machines will be running on ESXi 4.1 . I'm configuring the clustering using "Conga" . I see that there is support for using ESX to do the fencing. The problem I have is that the guest machines are not allowed to have access the "management network" as per security policies. The guest machines don't no

ocfs2 problem on ctdb cluster
Ubuntu 14.04, drbd
Hi
On a drbd Primary node, when attempting to mount our cluster partition:
sudo mount -t ocfs2 /dev/drbd1 /cluster
we get:
mount.ocfs2: Unable to access cluster service while trying to join the
group
We then call:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure ocfs2-tools
Setting cluster stack "o2cb": OK
Starting O2CB cluster ocfs2: OK
And all is well:

2 node cluster, Heartbeat2, self-fencing
Hello everyone.
I am currently working on setting up new servers for my employer. Basically we
want two servers, all of them running several VEs (virtual environments,
OpenVZ) which can dynamically take over each others job if necessary. Some
services will run concurrently on both servers like apache2 (load balancing),
so those need concurrent access to specific data.
We had a close look at

Unexplained reboots in DRBD82 + OCFS2 setup
We're trying to setup a dual-primary DRBD environment, with a shared
disk with either OCFS2 or GFS. The environment is a Centos 5.3 with
DRBD82 (but also tried with DRBD83 from testing) .
Setting up a single primary disk and running bonnie++ on it works.
Setting up a dual-primary disk, only mounting it on one node (ext3) and
running bonnie++ works
When setting up ocfs2 on the /dev/drbd0
