djbdns under CentOS7: startup and socket issues
Hello all,
I am trying to get djbdns ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djbdns ) running
on CentOS 7. So far I have wirtten the djbdns.service and djbdns.socket
files. The sockets (TCP and UDP 53) for some reason would not start and I
don't know how to debug that; the service does start but only when I start
it manually by running
systemctl start djbdns
So, I am a real noob when it comes to

Exported resources & exec ?
Hi,
I''m sorry if that''s a FAQ, I also know exported resources are a still
experimental. So my problem might well be a design limitation of how
exported resources are working.
My issue: I''m trying to export a file resource that is created by an
exec block. The file is exported fine and collected fine but it is
always empty on the other host.
The puppet snippet:

DJBDNS: very weird dnscache issue
Thanks for getting back with the "solution".
You might want to give that bugzilla entry a jolt, it's been stagnating since last year. :-)

replace astdb with a cluster-capable sql database engine (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 22)
unix-odbc with Asterisk Realtime is one good way to use a different
backend DB than MySQL. I haven't heard of "bit rot" problems running it
over long times, but I'd like to if there are any. I'm particularly
interested in seeing reports of Asterisk Realtime backed by Postgres.
The problem with pointing dialplan DB functions like Set(DB) at

INN with SSL
Hello, on a INN mailinglist i have found , that in order to use INN over SSL
i need to call another instance of nnrpd like this :
su news -c '/usr/local/news/bin/nnrpd -D -c
/usr/local/news/etc/readers-ssl.conf
-p 563 -S'
I am using INN from official centos 5.1 rpm .
My question is, where to init scripts /etc/init.d/inn or somewhere else put
such a line to have INN listening on 563 for

INN removed from CentOS 6
I use inn to make internal company announcements and
discussions available to remote offices.
I note inn is removed form RHEL 6. What replaces inn?
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Technical_Notes/apc.html
Will inn be available from elsewhere? Will I have to compile
it?
Should I modify my scripts to create and install html files
for a web server? That would

How to keep several puppetd in sync at the same time ?
Hi,
I''m still writing my djbdns module, I came to the following design issue
with master and slave tinydns.
Normally there is no such master and slave distinction in djbdns: all
tinydns instance are equal. Usually one instance on one host is
considered the master on, which the RR are changed, and when you need to
propagate them, you rsync the datas to the other hosts, where they will

booting dos with pxelinux
Hello,
Not sure if and how this works... question is:
I would like to have a dual-boot scenario where
pxelinux boots a linux based thinclient per default
and the possibility to optional boot a ms-dos pxe
image. The faq says it's possible to boot dos from
pxelinux but there is no clear how-to (it least I cold
not find it). Any help is appreciated.
kind regards,

DJBDNS: very weird dnscache issue
Lucian,
So far here is the best we could find out:

Testing to see if this is the solution; so far it seems to be.
Cheers,
Boris.

Yes. You need a server and a programming to the list that users might be
able to pick songs. Like this...
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="
http://server6.reliastream.com/theme/widget_ondemand.css" />
<div id="cc_on_demand_content">Loading...</div>

Attempting to connect to an Empress RDBMS via RODBC 1.2-3 causes R 2.6.2.pat to segfault
Hi
I've experienced some unpleasant behaviour while attempting to connect to an Empress 8.6.2 RDBMS via RODBC 1.2-3 and a freshly minted R 2.6.2.pat on a SLED linux system where a call to odbcConnect() to initiate the odbc connection causes R 2.6.2.pat to segfault.
The odbcConnect call is
CHANNEL <- odbcConnect("myEmpressDB", uid="myusername",
