CentOS 5.5 php configure errors
I am attempting to install odbtp on my newly created lamp server running CentOS 5.5 and php 5.2.17. The odbtp compile failed looking for lots of zend related files supposedly in the php install dir. I learned from the odbtp project forum that I need to run configure in the php source directory. So I downloaded the php 5.2.17 source and ran ./configure and got these results: root at myserver

yum update error

yum list updates error (Manish Kathuria)
There was no proxy in the file /etc/yum.conf. I specified the proxy setting and now "yum list updates" is working. screen saver crash
My screen saver crash both in gnome and kde X windows when open the screen saver. I guess that some package needed is not installed. I reinstall the gnome-screen but it still crashs. Centos 5.4 to 5.5 fails to update lvm2 (needs newer device-mapper?)
Updating from centos 5.4 to 5.5 using an update rather than a rebuild, I get the following complaint from yum:- lvm2-2.02.56-8.el5_5.1.x86_64 from setup has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: device-mapper >= 1.02.39-1 is needed by package lvm2-2.02.56-8.el5_5.1.x86_64 (setup) This is from a local mirror, so checking the upstream feed in case the mirroring is incomplete I see
