Problems with IPTABLES recent module.
I went to reload (iptables-restore) my iptables configuration and
obtained an error at the COMMIT statement. No further details were
provided even when I ran restore with the -v option.
I determined that none of my backed up configuration files going
back to October will load either. This is more than passing strange
because I altered and uploaded the iptables configuration on this
host several

Not updating the updated_at field
This is for Rails 3.1.1
I have a field called last_seen in a model. This field will be updated
when the something about the record is seen in the real world (don''t
worry about this part)
So I go x.update_attribute(:last_seen, Time.now) and the following happens is
UPDATE "blah" SET "last_seen" = ''2012-10-23 08:57:46.179288'',
"updated_at"

I am not very sure about addIntervalsToSpill, but, for all the registers
created to replace a spilled registers, they must have a stack slot
assigned to them. I am sending you my

Iptables Rpm Missing Modules
The current build of iptables does not appear to include some modules. Among these are
ipt_recent.so, a very handy module in deflecting the current flurry of sshd dictionary
attacks. Lineox appears to have the same problem.
This is because the RedHat source rpm spec file is not explicit in the kernel directory
location and that omission affects these few modules. Required changes in the

to filter dos ip using iptables recent
Hello, all.
I read this document about iptables recent module.

and I would like to filter the excessive spam mail sending ip address by iptables recent module.
and some questions.

Newbie: where to put input validation and model aggregations
I''m feeling a bit dense and am having a hard time grasping the best way
to implement simple search in Rails. Basically, I just want an input
textbox where a user can type a query which then checks records in the
database ... extremely simple. I already wrote a little ''search''
action in my controller, however I''m trying to stick with the whole

[LLVMdev] Recalculating live intervals
I'm not sure about one thing: you assign stack slot to each new register you
replace the spilled one with. And then you need to allocate physical
registers to them. Is it possible to assign physical register to the virtual
one which has a stack slot already?

iptables: No chain/target/match by that name
I''m trying to setup Shorewall 2.0.8 with the one-interface settings on
my LFS (kernel 2.6.5) system. I''ve read the troubleshooting guide,
recompiled my kernel with just about every netfilter/iptables module I
could find, but I''m still getting this error:

IPTABLES --hitcount maximum value
Is the maximum permitted value for --hitcount documented anywhere?
I reliably get a iptables-restore error when I specify a hitcount
value greater than 20 but I cannot find any mention of there being a
maximum value.

Should leading and trailing spaces between backticks be preserved?
Hi folks,
Yesterday I raised an issue about inconsistent preservation of

Python-Markdown.

[patch] user@host in AllowUsers
This is a port of a patch I contributed to ssh 1.2.23 in May 1998. I
have missed the functionality after moving to OpenSSH so I have
updated the patch and hope OpenSSH might accept it.
The patch allows sshd_config to have lines like:
AllowUsers root at localhost
AllowUsers tridge@*
AllowUsers guest at 192.168.2.*
DenyUsers badguy@*
etc.
I found this useful for restricting users to only login

Unable to Set TTL for Name Server Record
I noticed when Samba initially created a NS it gave it a ttl=900. If I
delete this record from my zone and create a new one. It gives the NS a
ttl=0. Attempting to set using Microsoft DNS tools does not take. Can
this be done any other way? Using samba-tool? Thanks.

[smbd4wins] wins hook - ttl so long ?
Hi folks,
i've a question about the ttl, which my wins hook script gets from
smbd4wins:
I record many entries with extrem high ttls like
refresh $SERVER 20 1181977528 $IPADDRS...
the ttl of 1181977528 means ~13.000 days which is very long.
if i look into the ldb itself, there's an expiry time of ~ 24days
(16.06.2007).

Worker cleanup and TTL
Hello. I read in an old announcement by Ezra, relating to the older
version of BackgrounDRb, about workers being able to clean up after
themselves and a TTL feature. I''m not sure if these things are present
in the newer version.
I''ve tried overriding the delete method in my worker but when I call
delete_worker, the method doesn''t appear to be called. Is there a
