Interrupt storm when disconnecting sata drives in 7.0-RC2 and 6.3
I've tested both 6.3 and 7.0-RC2, amd64 architecture, and have found the occurrence of an interrupt storm using an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium (nForce 4) motherboard with an AMD Opteron 175. Relevant dmesg output: atapci0: <nVidia nForce CK804 UDMA133 controller> port 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6,0x170-0x177,0x376,0xf000-0xf00f at device 6.0 on pci0 ata0: <ATA channel 0> on atapci0 ata1: <ATA

problem with pci path through - device not present in DomU
Hello, I''m running 6.26-2-xen-amd64 with xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64. Now I try to pass through a controller card to WHS, at the moment without success because the card isn''t present in DomU. At the first moment I guess it''s a windows problem ;) so I''d tried to boot a Knoppix .iso but same problem there, the passed through device isn''t present in DomU.

kernel 3.3.4 damages filesystem (?)
Hallo, "never change a running system" ... For some months I run btrfs unter kernel 3.2.5 and 3.2.9, without problems. Yesterday I compiled kernel 3.3.4, and this morning I started the machine with this kernel. There may be some ugly problems. Copying something into the btrfs "directory" worked well for some files, and then I got error messages (I''ve not

Use syslinux 6.03 for my g4l disk imaging project, and it works great. Any experience with eSATA and port multiplier...?
Hey, just bought an eSATA/USB dual drive docking station and my CentOS 5 can only see one drive at a time... Any one knows if there are specific parameters to set somewhere? Or do I need a more recent kernel (like upgrading to CentOS 6?) The docking is a Sharkoon Quickport Duo v2 + 2 drives + 1 eSATA cable... http://www.sharkoon.com/?q=en/content/sata-quickport-duo-v2 The eSATA controller is an

How to map ata#.# numbers to /dev/sd numbers?
On my C5 machine (a Dell XPS420) I have a 500Gb disk on the internal SATA controller. I also have a SiI3132 dual-port multi-device eSATA card. This is connected to an external SATA array of disks. From FAQ 7.21 to a command like apply(sapply(list(f1,f2,f3),is.na),2,sum)
Dear all, Last December there was a thread regarding the famous FAQ 7.21 "How can I turn a string into a variable?" and asking what people want to do with these strings. My, certainly trivial application would be as follows: Assume I have a data.frame containing besides others also the columns f1, f2, ..., fn and I want to create a command like: apply(sapply(list(f1,f2,f3),is.na),2,sum)

Fwd: Problem with GT218 (GeForce GT210)
Hm, well you can see the messages about failure to set plls, which is why you don't see anything. The only odd thing I see is that you're using vesa, which can definitely mess things up. Try not using that. Also try booting with nouveau.debug=debug drm.debug=0xe which might provide more relevant info. On Jun 12, 2015 8:34 AM, "Andre Campos Rodovalho" <andre.rodovalho at

Syslinux 3.70 - BSS DOS boot says: "Could not find kernel Image: linux".
Hello, I'm trying to create and boot a Win98SE-DOS OS through Hard Disk emulation. My src files are from a Win98SE 1440K floppy image file, with a x86 boot sector (dl'd from the net - I have no floppy drive and a slow net link 3.2KB). I don't know what to put into the partition boot record of my image and how to load dos.bss properly (the docs explain for floppy images not for HD

Question: How can I recover this partition? (unable to find logical $hugenum len 4096)
Hi list! I recently butchered my filesystem, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to help. Problem: My filesystem is screwed up, and I can''t mount it at all right now. In the logs, the problem begins around 45s. Background: I''m running a 6x4TB RAID5 array using md. I have a few virtual machines using said array, and one of them is a btrfs storage server. I ran into some
