Hello I'm new to linux and am trying to install centos 5.3 on my laptop and it has an ata drive but centos does not see the had or cdrom. Googleing does not give me much to check. My CentOS4 machine died (CPU cooler failure, causing CPU to die). In this machine I had 5 Tbyte disks in a RAID5, and LVM structures on that. Hi All, As it turns out these boxes are Red Hat Enterprise Linux and not Windows!. I am not sure how the person who asked me to do the work does not know what he had! I guess he was the CEO though!
