Writable Centos LiveCD on Embeded Linux?
Hi all, I was wondering if it possible to have a Centos LiveCD installation boot from a Compact Flash in a embeded x86 (Wrap/Alix) platform *and* be able to save the changes made to the File System back to the Flash memory. So, the next time the LiveCD boots it will have all the changes made. The problem I'm trying yo solve is: - fast boot time - fast recovery when the Linux is shutdown

Is there a "connect acl" ?
Hi, I have been reading the acl documentation and it seems that a "connect acl" is not available. I need to limit the users that can login in an IP number, is that posible with dovecot 1.0? (i.e. only these users can login from the Internet) Or a new plugin should be written? It is complicated to do that? Thanks Oliver -- Oliver Schulze L. | http://tinymailto.com/oliver Asuncion

$HOME variable not set from init script

The problem I'm getting is that from update 4.4, SA does not seems to find the $HOME variable only when it is called during system boot. If you later login as root and run: $ service mimedefang restart then SA does indeed find the $HOME variable I

Restoring a deleted/moved imap folder
Hi, one user of my imap server just deleted a whole folder, blame thunderbird I have the server disk and running Stellar Info for deleted files recovery. My cuestion is about how dovecot deleted an imap Maildir folder? The imap client is configured to move the deleted mails to the Trash folder, so I think dovecot would delete every Maildir email after successfully moved it. In the case a

Migrating from mbox to maildir, which converter is compatible with dovecot
Hi, I'm testing/debuging the migration from mbox to maildir in a mailserver running Dovecot 1.0alpha5. I migrated all 472715 emails(in a test server) and later noted that dovecot could not get the same flags/status of the emails as in the mbox. I was using perfect_maildir.pl and I think its not dovecot fault. Seems to me that perfect_maildir.pl convert the emails in a way that dovecot could

Anyone can confirm this list of distro/.tdb directory: Fedora: /var/cache/samba CentOS4:

Large Roaming profiles
Hi, I have large size Roaming profiles in Win2k and Samba. Samba 2.2.2 is acting as a PDC. Does Win2k load all the files from scratch from the samba server everytime a user log in? Or does Win2k or Samba provides some sort of diff mecanism, so that only modified files are loaded from the Samba server(to speed think up)? Thanks Oliver -- Oliver Schulze L. oliver@samera.com.py Asuncion-Paraguay
