Hi, I know, epel has rt3 in version 3.6.x. And - sadly - for version 3.8.x the perl module dependencies are way ahead of what I can find in epel or rpmforge. But we really need some of the 3.8.x series features. So has anybody maybe built those modules + rt3 v3.8.x for C5? Any hint? I really do not want to install f10. :O Thx Rainer

Hi, am using latest C6 on a Dell GX270 with latest Bios. It fails to power down but restarts when running $ sudo poweroff I tried some google hints for kernel boot option: acpi=force no help, looks like acpi is working anyway when looking in dmesg acpi=off makes e1000 nic fail to initialize Any suggestions? Looking at what my best options for managing KVM via a gui. Running Centos 5.4 and have several machines and want to migrate off of vmware server 2.x. So far it appears that the management tools haven't quite cought up to Vmware but are gaining and closing. I have been looking at convirt, and others. I like what I see in Ovirt but I'm not sure it is available for centos 5.4, or is it?

Hi All, I see that sparc.centos.org does not contain any ISO's so that I can install from CD. How does one install over the internet? I have never done it before. I assume use the boot.iso and make sure that I have DHCP turned on so that I get an IP automatically from my router? Any advice? -Jason

My stock CentOS 5.4 box won't come up after a reboot as reported from my office. Error is: "duplicate or bad block in use" Before rebooting xm dmsg had printk suppressed messages. I am looking to be a bit more standard in the builds of my CentOS rpms, and so I was about to install mock but noticed that there is one provided in the centos/5/extras and another in epel. epel is obviously newer, but are there reasons/experiences in this group that would suggest sticking with the extras version instead? But having this functionality in fs is much more friendly... We have looked into lessfs, sdfs and ddar. Are these filesystems ready to use (on centos)? ddar is sthg different, I know. Thx Rainer
