What sound cards are recognized by Centros? I have installed it on an old 400MHz IBM Aptiva that has Crystal Audio built-in. However it does not seem to recognize that, nor a Sound Blaster, nor a Sound Blaster 16 that I have tried. Any cheapo cards that it would recognize? Mike

I have performed the 5.1 update via the 5 repo on a couple of systems. I then went to switch these systems to my new local repo using ther $releasever variable. It still has the value of 5, not 5.1 Where is this set? Why was it not changed to 5.1? On the one clean install from the 5.1 isos, $releasever is at 5.1 I think.

On earlier versions of Centos, I could boot the install CD in rescue mode, let it find and mount the installed system on the HD even when it was just one disk of RAID1 partitions (type=FD). Since my upgrade of the CentOS 5.4 to 5.5, it is impossible to boot from kernel 2.6.18-194.xx but older kernel (2.6.18-164-xx) boots perfectly The message I get is: setuproot: moving /dev/failed:No such file or directory* *And I get a Kernel Panic...
