yum priorities and rpmforge...
Hi, I am using the yum priorities plugin and, for some reason, it is blocking all rpmforge updates, even for already installed rpmforge packages... I have priority=1 for CentOS repos. Is it the 'normal' behavior or is something wrong in my conf? Thx, JD

Not respected repo priorities...
Ah ah, the demo effect... just after I said I did not have much issues with repos... ^_^ A collegue installed some packages (for perconna) and since then a server insists on replacing 2 base packages with 2 rfx packages, even when I gave a lower priority to rfx... yum priorities and obsoleting...
Hey, I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package. The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra... Any idea how come I ran into this issue...? The question is more about the yum priorities than repoforge. ... 1743 packages excluded due to repository priority protections ... --> Running transaction check ---> Package

Problems with rpmforge repo?

Error is below: --> Processing Dependency: perl(Compress::Raw::Zlib) >= 2.020 for package: perl-IO-Compress --> Finished Dependency Resolution perl-IO-Compress-2.020-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge has

Yum updates vs current packages
Sorry if the subject is a bit vague. I wasn't sure how to summarize this. I am building a new server (CentOS4.2) and I am trying to stay with RPM installs as much as possible. The problem is with packages that I would like to keep more up to date than allowed by the repositories. This will be a mailserver doing spam and virus checking. As such, I want SpamAssassin and ClamAV to be as

perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks, I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge website there is no list or contact information. I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum update leads to: > Error: Package: perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el6.rf.noarch (rpmforge) > Requires:

Hi, I am currently using keyboardcast but I had to modify the sources to make it behave "properly" (light, auto-placed, auto-tiled windows, etc) and... I lost my modifications and do not want to recode it once more... :/ I wanted to use mssh (not the python one, the one from Bradley Smith) but I cannot find an rpm and cannot compile it on CentOS 5 due to a too old vte-devel library

Dag mirror, yum and repomd.xml!
Hi: I have a mirror of dag repository (http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/i386/dag/) in my intranet which is used by other servers to install/update rpms. I installed on every remote server the rpmforge rpm, edit the /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo to fit with my intranet mirror, but when I run yum, I get this error: #yum -c rpmforge.repo search nagios Warning, could not load sqlite, falling back to
