hw raid 10 with 4 disc, recomended partitiontable
I am familiar with centos and this forum, and have some rhel / centos questions. Therefore I'm asking the question here I am about to install rhel4.5 on a hp dl380 with 4 disc's. The standard rhel installation installers all in one partition? Will there be any advantage of splitting the file system up? What would be a good recommended partition table for a server running scripts

Simple question on USB flash drive naming
I have a USB key that when inserted into a port on my CentOS-6.5 system maounts as this: /dev/sdb1 /media/22d773e3-8502-4196-b45f-388380dcee48 ext2 rw,nosuid, nodev, uhelper=udisks 0 0 What is the mechanism to give this thing a more human usable mount name / volume name? Mounting this USB key with what I guess is a UUID in place of a name was not always the case. My sense is that the change in

Hi, When I upgraded my cluster, df started returning some odd numbers for my legacy volumes. Newly created volumes after the upgrade, df works just fine. I have been researching since Monday and have not found any reference to this symptom. "vm-images" is the old legacy volume, "test" is the new one.
