similar to: screwed up dependencies

This is annoying. I've been trying to get motion working correctly on CentOS 6. First, there was no ffmpeg rpms. Now, I try to install it, and it's found on rpmfusion... except that it will not install. It insists that libfaad.so.0 is required, and tells me faad2-libs-2.6.1-5 from el5 is available. (I've done some stuff with my repos to try to get what I need for motion.) I installed

Hi To continue the interesting streamTranscode thread but in a slightly different direction, I have a user station that would like to send us a 64kbps AAC stream and have us transcode that to 64kbps MP3 and 32kbps AAC - is this possible? Points to consider: a) we would be happy to go with another permutation such as: she sends us 64kbps MP3 and we convert that to 64kbps AAC and 32kbps ACC. b)

Hello, I am trying to get MP4/H.264 playback in Firefox to work on my CentOS laptop (for vimeo). I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7 (No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. Has anyone successfully gotten vlc to install on centos 4.X? I saw other posts on using rpms from places but I dont want to go there. I have downloaded from videolan ftp site the following: mpeg2dec libmad libfaad ffmpeg vlc I have configured and installed each package above. Hi guys , I used ffmpeg , and ffmpeg2theora , with oggfwd for streaming to the icecast2 streaming server without any problems. But now , only works if I use ffmpeg2theora. I try with one of the latest svn version and one that I consider " stable" because is ok for all my needs , and they don't work. This is the complete shell output ffmpeg -i /home/pierpaolo/Scrivania/31.mpg
