Hi all, I would like to know if these troubles affect also other people, for example, I can no longer connect to Sipe (Lync) network by Pidgin since the Glibc has been updated and now I've just discovered that it was no longer possible to take screenshots with gnome-screenshot, I always receive an error message telling: "Unable to save the screenshot to disk: Value for PNG text

Is there any real advantage to using 64 bit when I am right at the 4gb ram threshhold? Nice plans to add more ram. The machine will just be a backup machie (rsync). Thanks in advance. D

Since my upgrade of the CentOS 5.4 to 5.5, it is impossible to boot from kernel 2.6.18-194.xx but older kernel (2.6.18-164-xx) boots perfectly The message I get is: setuproot: moving /dev/failed:No such file or directory* *And I get a Kernel Panic... It seems like the system was unable to mount /dev in ram, then it cannot find it... How is it possible and how to solve this ?* *-- (?- Bernard

ipw3945 wireless not working
This is a new Centos 5.1 install on a HP nc2400 (that use to run XP). Completely clean install; blew away the XP partitions... After applying all the updates, and configuring for the rpmforge repo, I used yumex to install dkms and the dkms-ipw3945, ipw3945-firmware, and ipw3945d rpms. lsmod|grep ipw shows: ipw3945 180391 1 ieeee80211 33417 1 ipw3945 and dmesg)grep

nm-applet, wirless, and CentOS 6

The 'desktop' system (if you could have called it that) that I learned on was DEC's 'DecWindows' system on
