Creating a maxtrix from "conditional prints"
Hi guys :)
I'm dealing with this problem, perhaps conceptually not that complex, but
still - I'm stuck.
Two columns, values 1<x<10, only integers. I want to check when the first
column's index is identical to the second's (and vice versa). If that's
true, I want to add a further column with value 1 (if true) or NA (if
false).
Thus, I obtain 100 matrices (for each

valid users and file permissions
Hi people,
I'd like to understand valid users and file permissions better. I have a
share which is not behaving as I expect.
[family]
path = /home/shares/family
create mask = 0664
directory mask = 0775
force group = parental
guest ok = No
valid users = @parental, @family
writeable = Yes
in Group parental are mum & dad; in group family are mum, dad and offspring.

"Folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password" error
I am running Samba 3.0.33 on a linux box on my home office LAN.
smb.conf has this share set up:

comment = Home Directories
browseable = yes

writable = yes
create mode = 0750
For each person in the house we map drives in their Windows 7 PCs to
the appropriate share name - eg \\server\mum, \\server\dad,

How to create an NS record
My dns (bind9) server for my Samba AD has messed up. W10 workstations
are having connection issues to say the least.
When I dig into the Sambawiki documentation regarding
/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End/ the first thing I notice is the change that
occurred at Samba v4.8.0. That is the change of
"|/usr/local/samba/_private_/named.conf|" to

glm.predict?
I've been attempting to calculate the predictions from a poisson glm
object, along these lines:
predict(foo.glm, type = "response")
and
predict(foo.glm, type = "response", se.fit = TRUE)
foo.glm is arrived at this way:
foo.glm <- glm(Insects ~ Dad * Mum + Location, offset = log(MM), family
= "poisson", data = model.df)

How to add a welcome message in Package development?
Dear all, it is my first post in R-devel list, and hope that this is
the right place to ask question related to package development.
I have created my first package in Windows through the usual route.
Now I want to add some ***Welcome message*** as soon as user loads my
package into their R console, using library() function. However I
could not figure out where and how should I add this

Re: Getting "unknown device type" when attaching NPIV (vHBA) to vm
Thank you for your reply,
I'm still getting hard time to attach the hostdev, I couldn't make it work out of the doc.
I took the address details from:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Feb 8 12:58 /sys/bus/scsi/devices/7:0:0:0 -> ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:03.0/0000:08:00.1/host7/rport-7:0-0/target7:0:0/7:0:0:0

Problem with Remote Announce
Hi,
I've been running Samba 3.5.18 on ClearOS 5.2 for a while now. I have a
server on its own LAN's (192.168.2.0/24 and 192.168.3.0/24) and an IPSec
VPN through to 192.168.10.0/24. The remote LAN is just one machine on
the other side of a router. I've been successfully seeing its netbios
name and I've been able to ping the remote PC by name and browse it and
vice versa. A few

Move hard disk to a new machine
I work for a government organization here in India.
I am sort of new to CentOS & Linux.
We have a 1TB disk in one of our machines that needs to be moved to a new
server.
How can I do that without losing any of the data?
The whole drive is mounted onto a single file system (/software). I would
like to move the drive onto our new server.
Thanks in advance.

Getting "unknown device type" when attaching NPIV (vHBA) to vm
Hi,
I'm trying to attach a host FC HBA to VM (NPIV).
Running ovirt 3.5 on CentOS 6.7, libvirt-0.10.2-46.el6_6.6.x86_64, I created vHBA using nodedev-create command - see below HBA and vHBA.
I wrote a vdsm hook which appends the vHBA xml stanza to the devices xml element but the vm start starts without the vHBA device.
Also, when trying to attach the device manually as a live device - I get:

Questions regarding hostdev scsi
Hi!
I'm oVirt developer responsible for most of 'hostdev' support. While
working on SCSI passthrough (that is hostdev type='scsi'), I've
encountered few issues I'm not sure how to solve somewhat effectively
and nicely.
Just a note - oVirt by default disables 'dynamic_ownership', meaning
we have to handle endpoint ownership/labeling ourselves. This
is not
