latest 4.1.2 RPMs for RHEL 5.8?
Hey folks, With all the troubles I''ve been having with the version of xen that comes with RHEL 5.8 I was wondering whether there is somewhere out there where I can grab more recent versions in RPM format. errors on multimedia guidance for x86_64
I have a fresh install of 5.4 x86_64 from a dvd .iso. All has worked well for several days, including kvm and WinXP running in a vm. Decided it was time to get the multimedia stuff up and running so I could listen to music CDs and watch DVD movies while working. I followed the guidance on the "Tips and Tricks" page for multimedia. Had no problem with the "priorities" or the

Installing R on RedHat EL 5
Hi, I am totally new to Linux and trying to install R and related tools. I downloaded the rpm files for el4/x86_64 from the CRAN repository and tried to run rpm but it did not go through complaining about dependencies. Do all the listed rpm files need to be installed? What is the order in which these need to be installed? I appreciate any help with this or any suggestions for alternate ways

Problem with Puppet upgrade 2.7 => 3.0 on Centos 5 using puppetlabs dependencies repo.
Hi, I have a problem with puppet upgrade from 2.7 to 3.0 on centos 5. I have included the puppet dependencies repo for el5 (http://yum.puppetlabs.com/el/5/dependencies/x86_64/) to upgrade my ruby version to 1.8.7. However a "yum install ruby" will give me ruby 1.8.5 from the centos base repo. If i disable the base repo i get ruby 1.8.7 but ruby-libs has depsolving problems - it
