Installing a new VM on a xen box.
HW = HPQ DC7700 DuoCore 1.8GHz, 4 x 2GB RAM, 1 x 1TB SATA (AHCI) OS = CentOS-5.2 ix_64 (xen) I am experimenting with Xen and with virtual machines in general for the first time. In consequence I have many questions. However, the one that I wish answered at the moment is simple: Given a DVD containing the CentOS-5.2_Final (i386) distribution mounted at /media/CentOS_5.2_Final on Dom0, what

Q. LUKS or ecryptfs-utils ?
I am now investigating encrypting our IMAP user spool files. Does anyone have experience with handling encrypted data stores using either or both of the subject methods and would care tio share their observations? Note: I am digest subscriber so if you could copy me directly on any reply to the list I would appreciate it very much. I sent this to the OpenSSH list (secureshell at securityfocus.com) yesterday and received no response so I am asking here in hopes that someone else has run across this problem on CentOS. We have encountered a situation that requires sftp access to one of our server by an

CentOS-5.4, KVM, QEMU, Virt-Manager and kvm-qemu-img
What is the correct combination of packages to configure and manage VMs via virt-manager undet CentOS-5.4? If I use qemu then while virt-manager works I obtain SELinux alerts with respect to the real-time clock. If instead of qemu I use kvm-qemu-img then virt-manager simply does not work. It starts but it does not find any form of qemu and the selection boxes are all greyed out. Further, do I
