EFI: PXE: "My IP is 0.0.0.0"
Hello Gene,
thanks a lot for your patch! It doesn't work yet, but I have some more
information.
Before the patch, the boot sequence ended with the following:
NBP file download successfully.
Getting cached packet
My IP is 0.0.0.0
After the patch it ended with the following (note that the IP is the same
as the Station IP address):
NBP file download successfully.

Hey everyone,
sorry for the delay in replying. First off, thanks for all the help, effort
and support so far!

I built and used syslinux from https://github.com/ppatpat/syslinux (latest
commit 43f5efa2db4a7880c7a2c6485d8fd8a64f0f33c3).
On top of that I had to patch main.c. This had to be done to mitigate the
following error when trying to 'make all':
main.c:(.text+0x3b9):

Looks like the patch mostly addresses the
initial search to find the right handle for
PXE.? I think I found the remaining source of the
issue (the part that's generating the
handle->Configure() messages).
I'm trying to read through pieces of the EFI spec, gnu-efi API,
and a few other sources.? I'm pretty
certain you'll see that the previous

Not as much as you
may think.? We already have lwIP implemented into lpxelinux.0.? It's more a matter of using more glue.

Samba AD with multiple DC and multiple NICs
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to add a second DC to a Samba 4 AD: they both have multiple NICs
and for this reason cannot find a way to make it work.
They communicate through VPN and both have one of the bound interfaces set
to the same IP address, 172.20.0.1, which doesn't allow me to route to the
correct DC, and that is only part of the problem.
Here is the configuration:

Samba AD with multiple DC and multiple NICs
I add some additional information I didn't give in my previous email,
specifically how I tried to force DC1 and DC2 to contact each other only
with their VPN IPs.
I did so using dnsmasq as a DNS proxy.
# DC1 configuration
IP NIC1: 172.16.0.2
IP NIC2: 172.20.0.1
IP VPN: 172.19.1.173

/etc/resolv.conf:
search domain.local
domain domain.local
nameserver 172.19.1.173

outside ssh connection from two different ISP's
I have both cable and dsl service. The router attached to the cable service is 192.168.0.1 and the router attached to the dsl service is 192.168.0.254. I determine which service my computers communicate through by setting the gateway assignment to either of those addresses and it just works.
I can connect to my computers from the outside by port forwarding from my routers to the computer that I

UDP routing issues with multiple NICs
Ok, the story is this, I''m running an Unreal Tournament 2004 server. It''s running on a system that has two external NICs that are connected to different ISPs. I would like players to be able to connect to the server from either link. My default gateway goes through NIC1. For traffic through NIC2 to work I simply added an extra routing table and rule. The extra routing table has

Network isolation - PCI passthrough question
Hello,
I thinking about using PCI passthrough to dedicated a domU as firewall.
I understand PCI passthrough concept. When done, my domU will see
network card and the dom0 won''t any more. So I''ll be able to filter all
trafic from outside, since it will go through network domU.
Then, how will I be able to connect other domU (and maybe dom0) to the
network domU ?
In a normal way,

Routing packets over multiple links (NICS) all on the same ISP all with same gateway.
Ok ive been trying to get this to work for about half a year now. Ive
searched all over the internet for a solution for
my problem. Ive found some solutions, but they only led me to yet more
problems.
What we want to do is the following:
I live in a student complex with 7 other people. Every room has its own

Hi,
I was just measuring the bitrates of a couple of codecs via iax. I'm getting
much higher numbers than expected, so maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Measured with iptraf, values displayed are:
codec: measured bitrate (bitrate according codec definition)
gsm: 52 kbps (13 kpbs)
alaw: 154 kbps (?)
speex: 57 kpbs (24 kpbs)

bridged networking using VLAN : guest with 2 NIC
hello all,
I have been trying to set-up bridged network with VLAN and not able to
succeed as many tutorials address only single NIC.
I am trying to setup 2 guests (backtrack instance) each guest has NIC1 and
NIC2. following is snippet for guest1
I am not able to get 192.168.0.2 address back on guest eth0.
