Hi
Is there any ETA for the SRPM's from the base tree of 5.6? I need to
get my hands on the src for the centos-release package as i have to
rebuilt it to prevent the repo definitions from being included.

Hi All:
I'm trying to rebuild the kvm SRPM (kvm-83-164.el5_5.9.src.rpm)

I have already run "yum-builddep <srpm>" and here is the output

Just did yum update. There were numerous packages to be updated. I get
this is the newest release of Centos.
The update bombed stating I need nss-3.12.2.0-2.el5. I did a rpm -q nss and
nss-3.12.2.0-4.el5 is install in Cento 5.2.
What's up with that?

Getting something into centosplus for 5.2?
I've got a USB to serial adapter that I picked up from Radio Shack
earlier this year. The updated pl2303 driver is already in the
mainstream kernel as per
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=429652 but I'm not getting
much traction from Red Hat as far as them updating the kernel. So every
time there's an updated kernel, I have to rebuild the srpm.
I figure that this is the

OT: Dropbox - Fedora Core 9 RPM will work on CentOS 5.4?
Dropbox has an RPM for Fedora Core 9 (x86). I am running CentOS 5.4 on
my Desktop, which I believe is based on Fedora Core 6. Are the
libraries Fedora Core 9 uses substantially different than those CentOS
5.4 uses? If Dropbox had an SRPM available, I would Download that and
Rebuild, but I'm sure it is Proprietary and they won't release an SRPM
to me. TIA!

Build environment for totem-2.16.7-7.el5_6.1.src.rpm
This package has a build requirement 'gecko-devel' which is fulfilled by
'xulrunner-devel'. But in the process of building the browser plugins
two tools named 'xpidl' and 'xpt_link' are necessary. They werde once
part of 'gecko-devel' but are now replaced by other tools. I haven't
found any package that has these tools all the way back to 5.0.

kmod srpm build issue
I have applied a patch to the spec for a digium srpm,
dahdi-linux-kmod-2.2.1.1-1_centos5.2.6.18_164.15.1.el5.src.rpm
and have what I thought was all I needed for deps:

kernel-headers-2.6.18-164.15.1.el5

yet the build fails with:

I have successfully created a packaged version of openssh that has
the LPK patch. LPK allows you to store your public keys in LDAP.
However when I go to install the package I created it complains about
dependencies:

How to handle updates after rebuilding PHP?
Hi,
One of our applications has some very specific requirements regarding
PHP, so I had to rebuild it to add some functionality that's not
included in the default configuration.
First thing I removed every PHP-related package that was installed on
the system:
# yum remove `rpm -qa | grep php`
Then I downloaded the PHP SRPM from
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5.1/os/SRPMS/ and

Postfix 2.2.x RPM ETA
Guys
I'm desperately looking for a postfix 2.2.x SRPM. I currently use 2.1.5..
I've found these, http://ftp.wl0.org/yum/postfix/2.2/rhel4/SRPMS.postfix/
Has anyone tried them, or can anyone recommend a proper SRPM for me
for Centos 4.1?
Kind regards

rebuilding firefox-2.0.0.16 from fc8
hello,
I started with
ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/8/SRPMS/firefox-2.0.0.16-1.fc8.src.rpm
with the hope of rebuilding it for el5/centos.
All of the dependencies were available (mostly from rpmforge) except one: something called system-bookmarks. I elected to comment out this from the spec, firefox.spec
I did the extracts with CPIO
rpm2cpio firefox-xxx.src.rpm |

tcptrack for Centos 5.5 32bit rpm
Hi list.
I have rebuilt tcptrack now.
You can get it from here:
http://www.karsites.net/centos/downloads/5.5/tcptrack-1.3.0-1.el5.i386.rpm
It's not signed, so to install it with yum as root user, do:
# yum localinstall --nogpgcheck tcptrack-1.3.0-1.el5.i386.rpm
in the directory you d/l it to.
Kind Regards,

dovecot sieve rpm?
Hello,
Does anyone have a repo or have a dovecot 1.2 and dovecot sieve rpm,
also a postfix 2.5 or 2.6 rpm? I saw some on a repo called atrpms, but
it has dependency issues, and I read that that repo is dangerous.
Thanks.
