About ping latency in SR-IOV
Hi, Greg, Eddie, I found that in SR-IOV + HVM environment, ping latency depends on ping interval. The NIC is Intel 82576 (1000Mbps), server uses xen-4.0.1, domain-0 is kernel-2.6.32 and HVM is kernel-2.6.31. The server and client are connected through a 1000Mbps switch. The data is as following: # ping -i 1 192.168.0.21 PING 192.168.0.21 (192.168.0.21) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from

PAM_shield locking me out?
Yesterday I installed pam_shield and followed the testing suggested and thought all was well. today I find that I cannot get to my email account, I can login via ssh okay (uses keys) but su and sudo give segmentation faults. I am guessing due to the pam module causing a problem. As I cannot do remote login as root and sudo and su use pam I appear to have locked myself out. Any words of wisdom

... and the mailing list is picky about attachments... whatever you attached did not conform to the stringent requirements mentioned in the Posting Guide. Pasting the code right into the email is usually safest, though you DO have to post using plain text (as the Posting Guide indicates) or your code may get mangled by the automatic html format removal. Unless there is good reason not to, always cc the list -- there are lots of smarter folks than I on it who can help. I may or may not have time to look at this. Efficient way to determine if a data frame has missing observations
I have a data set covering a large number of cities with values for characteristics such as land area, population, and employment. The problem I have is that some cities lack observations for some of the characteristics and I'd like a quick way to determine which cities have missing data. For example:

My question is related to systemfit; I don't know how to get the result for the entire panel. #Reproducible script Empdata<- read.csv("/Users/ngwinuiazenui/Documents/UPLOADemp.csv") View(Empdata) install.packages("systemfit")

Samba configuration
I'm trying to config a Linux box to integrate into a windows network using pam_smb and samba. Ive set it up so that using pam_smb I can get the user to log onto the linux desktop with their NT id and password. The only problem is once the user is logged on they need to be able to access shared resources disk, printers etc... without the need to reauthenticate to the domain, i.e. use a cache

automatically detaching PCI host devices from guest for SRIOV usage.
Dear List , We are using intel 82599EB based SRIOV capable 10GbE cards on the host machine. The VFs are being assigned to the guest in pass through mode and are providing the network connectivity as expected. However when we shutdown the guest the connectivity does not comes back via the VFs on the guest in next boot unless the VFs are detached from the *guest* *before* initiating a shutdown of
