slim server for moh
Hello, I have installed SlimServer for Windows on my desktop and Asterisk on a Red Hat Linux machine. I am able to play mp3's for music on hold when mp3s are on the Linux server, and to play streaming mp3's with Windows Media Player and Winamp on Windows using the slim server. I also have mpg123 on my Linux, apparently installed correctly, since it works for local moh. I put the

[PATCH v8 00/18] Add support for FDMA DMA controller and slim core rproc found on STi chipsets
Hi Vinod, Bjorn, Patrice, This patchset adds support for the Flexible Direct Memory Access (FDMA) core found on STi chipsets from STMicroelectronics. The FDMA is a slim core CPU with a dedicated firmware. It is a general purpose DMA controller supporting 16 independent channels and data can be moved from memory to memory or between memory and paced latency critical real time targets. After quite

CentOS on new Thinkpads
I've had success on "older" model Lenovos.....(T-410 / T-420 / T-430) but anything beyond those seems to have some issue or another. I was even able to swap the standard drive to an SD (250GB) on a T-430 and it's running g like a champ. A lot of the newer stuff is OK as long as you don't have any boutique drivers for video network or sound. YMMV. On Sep 29, 2016 9:18 PM, John

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Slim Reader/Writer Support
This patch seems to have gotten lost in the mix over the past month, so I am reposting. Apologies if this is incorrect! This patch includes removes a FIXME for slim reader/writer locks on Windows Vista and higher, since the functionality is available in the OS there. It falls back on the heavyweight critical sections implementation for Windows XP because the reader/writer locks are unavailable.

Changing the appearance of the login box
I'm the founder and lead developer of the lightweight Linux distro Swift Linux. I'm currently in the process of switching from the old antiX Linux base to the new Linux Mint Debian Edition base. The new Swift Linux will be using LightDM instead of SLiM. I've found that replacing LMDE's default GDM display manager with SLiM disables many functions (like audio). Restoring these

Questions on making a kickstart cfg
So I took the anaconda cfg, commented out the partition/disk pieces and ran it off my repo server and it almost worked. Little things like not including things I had done on network setup. No first boot.... :) So now I am reading up on building a kickstart cfg http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/KickStart http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/5.2/Installation_Guide/s1-kickstart2-howuse.html

Compile Samba without AD/ADS for a slim installation
I am trying to compile samba4 for a raspberry pi. I just want it to be able to share a folder of files. I do not need or want all the functionality and features of a full blown samba installation. This i s on Arch and it is an armv6 raspberry. I have some partial instructions for compiling without ad-dc and ads but keep getting a failed build. I have been grepping all over and I have been unable

Linux desktop setup with authentication against Samba AD DC
Hi folks, I'm figuring to setup a few Linux desktops with LXDM as display manager, and with authentication against a Samba AD DC. After successful authentication, I want the authenticated user's profile to be downloaded, or preferably mapped, from a SMB server (Linux, Windows, NAS, ...), to the local Linux PC. I intend to use Debian Bookworm, with Archlinux as a secondary alternative

Filling Lists or Arrays of variable dimensions
Following problem: Say you have a bunch of parameters and want to produce results for all combinations of those: height<-c("high","low") width<-c("slim","wide") then what i used to do was something like this: l<-list() for(h in height){ l[[h]]<-list() for(w in width){ l[[h]][[w]] <- doSomething() } } Now those parameters aren't

R build failure under gcc 4.9's link time optimization
R fails to build with visibility on and gcc 4.9's link time optimzation, because of its practice of building part of it as archive first. Specifically it builds some bundled libraries as archive first, the symbols of which are then entirely invisible in gcc 4.9. The Matrix package also does this awful practice, with CHOLMOD.a COLAMD.a AMD.a SuiteSparse_config.a . One way of fixing R is:

AIX capabilities not set
Hi, we're in the process of setting up large-page support on IBM regattas, but for large-page support the users have to have a set of extra capabilities (CAP_BYPASS_RAC_VMM,CAP_PROPAGATE). This are configured on a per user basis by listing which capability each user have in /etc/security/user. Unfortunately they don't get set when the users log in via OpenSSH (3.1p1). Does anybody know

Boxplot, space to axis
Hello, I've crearted a boxplot with 84 boxes. So fat everything is as I expect, but there is quite some space between the 1st box and axis 2 and the last box and axis 4. Since 84 boxes get very slim anyway I'd like to discribute as much of the horizontal space over the x-axis. Maybe I've forgotten about a graphics parameter? Thanks for your help, Arne
