dom0 won''t boot - iwlagn MAC is in deep sleep
Hi all,
I''ve got a T61p running ubuntu 9.10, it runs kernel 2.6.31.20-server
perfectly with no hiccups. I recently decided to play around, and compiled a
2.6.32-10 pvops kernel, and installed xen-4.0.0-rc9. When I try and boot as
dom0, sometimes it works, and sometimes it loops an Error message: *iwlagn:

Memory fragmentation and PCI passthrough
Hello,
I''ve hit known problem with dynamic memory management - memory
fragmentation... This dynamic memory management basically does xl
mem-set to balance memory.
After some time of running system, xen memory is so fragmented that it
is impossible to start new VM with PCI device. Sometimes it crashes
during boot (no 64MB contiguous memory for SWIOTLB), or later - eg.

ext3 and btrfs various Oops and kernel BUGs
Dear all,
(please Cc)
yesterday I had two bugs with btrfs and ext3 occurrences, always happening
when plugging in an external USB btrfs disk.
Today I had a BUG which is purely ext3 related.
The last bug was with yesterdays latest git checkout.
Here are the three bugs/oops:
that one was with 3.0.0-rc2 (exactely)

PV driver domains and S3 sleep
Hello,
The topic is self-explanatory: how to ensure that a PV driver domain correctly
prepares its PCI devices for S3 sleep?
If I do "pm-suspend" in dom0, and the driver domain has active network interfaces,
suspend hangs the system. Yes, in case of this particular machine, suspend works
fine when there is no driver domain.

Hotplug scripts not working - Networking woes on opensuse 11.3 m7 with XEN4 on W510 Thinkpad
Anyone can help me with this problem I''ve described here:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=612006
I''ve had XEN4.0 working on CentOS 5.4 platform without these problems. I''m trying to do the same now with a newer laptop and CentOS didn''t recognise half hte drivers. The latest opensuse 11.3 does have these drivers and specifically nouveau

Multiple Wifi Profiles
This may not necessarily be the best place to ask this, but I''ve tried the Admin Guide, LinuxQuestions and Debian forums and no one knows.
Running Debian Testing, and I need to set up two profiles for my wifi adapter, one for home and one for any open AP. I''m using the manual method of configuring, editing the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and /etc/network/interfaces

recognizing correct number of cores on CPU
I just installed centos 5.5 x86_64 on a new HP laptop.
It has the core i5 processor.
only 1 cpu is detected should be 2.
This has happened before. Is upstream not keeping up with
new processors released and updating the kernel?
I'd rather not go through the process again of putting a newer kernel
on the machine and having something different out there than "stock" centos.

Cannot get Centrino N 6200 wireless NIC to work Cento 6.4
I installed Centos 6.4 on my laptop and neither of the network interfaces
will work. When I boot up to windows both the wired and the wireless
network interfaces work. I have attached dmesg output for the wireless
card. Reading through the messages it appears that OS cannot talk to the
NIC.

BTRFS partition won't mount
Hello all,
I recently had a power failure and can no longer mount my /home directory. The harddrive has two BTRFS partitions: sda7(/) and sda8(/home). The / partition loads up just fine, but /home does not. I''ve tried btrfsck as shown below and I''ve included dmesg pertaining to btrfs. This is on ArchLinux and the software versions are as follows:

Samba Slow, and I have high Quality NICS
I have SLOW file transfers across samba to my Windows Server 2000 domain.
I am using a built in 100bT Intel Pro NIC, I have tried the built in gigabit

Using iperf, I get about 45-90Mb of bandwidth from my PC's to my samba

I was wondering why there isn't a FLAC_index (FLAC_index16 or FLAC_index32)
type that would prevent someone from just "winging" it with a bad choice for

acts_as_taggable and paginate?
Hi there,
I''ve been trying to paginate over a list of members that all share a tag in
common using the acts_as_taggable plugin. The regular way of paginating over
a collection doesn''t seem to work with acts_as_taggable. Here''s what my
method looks like that takes in a tag name, finds all the members that share
the tag and then displays all the members. Nothing too fancy

A rant about parameters
Guys,
I''ve been chasing a problem with country_select for the past few hours
now. My intention was pretty simple...use the following line in a form:
<p><label for="country_region">Country</label>
<%= f.country_select :country_region, "United States" %></p>
However, for the life of me, I couldn''t get it to work. I kept getting
