Hi, I got a problem when prepared to pass-thru 82576 ethernet card with SR-IOV support. The 82576 card is build-in on the board. When loading igb driver for the card, dmesg show some errors like: pci 0000:05:00.0: BAR 10: can''t allocate mem resource [0xfbf00000-0xfbefffff] . igb 0000:05:00.0: not enough MMIO resources for SR-IOV igb 0000:05:00.0: Failed to initialize

NIC Stability Problems Under Xen 4.4 / CentOS 6 / Linux 3.18
I have three different types of CentOS 6 Xen 4.4 based hypervisors (by hardware) that are experiencing stability issues which I haven't been able to track down. All three types seem to be having issues with NIC and/or PCIe. In most cases, the issues are unrecoverable and require a hard boot to resolve. All have Intel NICs. Often the systems will remain stable for days or weeks, then

Teliax Quality of Service
Asterisk Users, I recently ran into some problems with the quality of service with Teliax. This occurred on August 1, 2007 with a dropped outbound call, audio quality isse on the callee side- not hearing me well on callee side, and sending DTMF tones (configured for RFC2833). Am I the only Teliax customer having this problem? It seems like when I am ready to go live with my Asterisk

Intel Quad NIC made visible in guest -> system crash
Hi! we have two Intel Quad Nic 82576, PCI ID 8086:10E8 and use the igb driver 1.3.19.3 on Debian 5.0.1. I used the pciback.hide XEN kernel parameter and made on of the NIC''s interfaces available in a DomU. Now, when I am starting the VM, the system crashes (log attached) I also tried to boot with the irqpoll option - the Interrupt Disabled message still appears when I try to start the

points on a sphere
Not an R question directly, but has anyone got a method for placing a moderately large number of (near) equi-spaced points on a sphere? I have a nasty feeling platonic solids are needed for exact solutions and I'm thinking of samplings involving around 200 - 1000 regularly-spaced points, Thanks, Richard Rowe Richard Rowe Senior Lecturer Department of Zoology and Tropical Ecology, James

How to get 3Ware 9500S controller card working in CentOS 3.1?
My goal is to be able to install to the drive array on the 3Ware controller card. 3Ware does provide a RH WS 3 driver that I've tried to use; however, the RH Enterprise 3 WS driver doesn't work since that kernel is older than the CentOS-3.1 install kernel. I'm trying to create a centOS-3.1 installation driver disk for the 3ware 9500S card; however, I'm not having much luck.

Guest still receive packet with vlan tag (SR-IOV transparent VLAN)
Hello everyone, I'm having problem with SR-IOV transparent VLAN. My host is Fedora 22 and my guest is: pfSense 2.3. The NIC is Intel 82576. I'm using pfSense Packet Capture to check the packet and find that inbound packet still have the vlan tag. The outbound packet seem fine because the router can receive DHCP discover packet from the guest and then send DHCP offer and ARP request

Intel igb driver question
Does anyone here know which CentOS release added support for 8086:1521, some I350 class device? We cannot get it to work under 5.4/igb driver version 1.3.16-k2. There must have been some major updates since, 5.8 driver is 3.0.6-k2-2 and current is 3.3.6.

module-info vs pci.ids
Hello - It's been sooooo long since I've tried hacking the kickstart media to include an updated driver but I guess that time has come again for me at least, getting an updated "igb" driver into the CentOS 5.2 installation for a HP DL165G5p(I'm not ready yet for CentOS 5.3). Anyways, I had a pretty basic question, I added a bunch of entries into the pci.ids file that were

OpenSuse 10.2 & Xen 3.1 initrd file missing
Hi, I recently put together an OpenSuse 10.2 machine (Tyan motherboard with Opteron dual-core) and downloaded the Xen 3.1 rpm''s. After loading them and modifying grub to boot into the Xen kernel, I get a "file not found" error on the xen initrd file. As it turns out, there is a link for the xen initrd file in /boot/grub but the file doesn''t exist. Not sure what

Samba 3.0.10 join domain
I have found a fixed my previous problems (two typos that were hard to find) and now the smbldap-tools all work as expected if I run them as root. However when I try to join a domain from a windows machine, the scripts never run and get an "Access is denied message". Since I am using 0.10 I do not think I can use net rpc rights, so do I need to add that into ldap manually? Or do I

"failed to setup INTx fd: Operation not permitted" error when using PCI passthrough
Hi, I'm on a Dell VEP 1405 running Debian 9.11 and I'm running a few tests with various interfaces given in PCI passthrough to a qemu/KVM Virtual Machine also running Debian 9.11. I noticed that only one of the four I350 network controllers can be used in PCI passthrough. The available interfaces are: *# dpdk-devbind.py --status Network devices using kernel driver
