NV50 inifinite loop
Hello,
this is my first Xorg/Nouveau bug-report ever so I'll try to explain as good as I can ;)
After several years of using the NVIDIA binary driver, I once again tried the latest nouveau driver for my Onboard Geforce 8100 card.
Several month ago I couldn' t even get to the kdm screen. But to my surprise everything I needed worked perfectly. Even KWin compositing. Amazing.

kjournald using up majority cpu%.
We run several RH7.2/7.3 servers & recently 2 of them, although still
working fine, have started to show kjournald as generally using over 50%
cpu% on 'top' - virtually continuously. Free cpu% generally less than 25%
now!
Both machines are also using software RAID5 EIDE ....... otherwise are
standard server installs.
Any info on what kjournald is & why it should have recently

Sound deformation during conversation or IVR message
Hi,
We have a working asterisk with 1 E1 and a TE405P.
During conversation, when one side is speaking, the other hears sometimes
(every 5 to 20 seconds, it is random) a little deformation of the
voice/sound. It sounds like "scricth" and not during more than 0.5 seconds.
We have exactly the same problem when asterisk give messages to caller by an
IVR.
No need to be lot of

Quantum IDE HDD DMA issue.
I am running RH 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18-27.7.x.
Recently I have added a new 60GB Quantum IDE hard drive to the server. I
have set it up as a MASTER on a separate IDE channel. Two partitions on
the /dev/hdc are /dev/hdc1, /dev/hdc2 - both using ext3.
For more detailed HDD parameters, this is 'hdparm -i /dev/hdc':

Integrated GeForce 8200
Hello,
I have an integrated GeForce 8200 video card (motherboard: MSI K9N2G Neo-FD).
I have tried using the nouveau driver, but with no luck so far ):
The nouveau site does say "Some GPUs integrated onto the motherboard
do not function with nouveau for some unknown reason. These include
the GeForce 8200/8300 ..."
And I have seen this bug:

Nvidia says I have a 8200, but lspci says a GeForce 9200M G
Hello all,
I'm debugging a card that the Nvidia blob recognizes as an 8200 but
lspci says is a GeForce 9200M G. ?My original bug report is in
launchpad.(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/557895),
but I have been trying to debug further by using the nightly builds.
It still requires the noaccel flag to be set to work.
I was wondering if there is anyway

Opinions on renice or turning off swap or ramdis k as swap?
I have 4 gig in my * box. I'm tuning for performance and I'd like to ask
opinions:
1. asterisk -p == renice -20 ??
2. I've turned off swap with no apparent ill effects. Can anyone commment on
long term effects with moderate load (say, 30 SIP phones / 2-3K calls /day)
3. Can anyone comment on using ramdisk as swap and whether this is a good
idea or bad idea?
I'm using 2.6

[PATCH] p2v: un-duplicate common dependencies
Move all the dependencies with the same name in all the distributions to
a single list at the end.
There should be no change to the package list used to build the p2v ISO.

hdparm strange behaviour on centos 5.0 using the latest kernel
After booting into Linux 2.6.18-8.1.3.el5xen
#> hdparm -tT /dev/sda
/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 10512 MB in 1.98 seconds = 5306.82 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 210 MB in 3.02 seconds = 69.58 MB/sec
Then I start a domu with the command:
#>xm create <domainname>
This domain uses file based Virtual block devices.
And now the hard drive performance goes down

nVdia C15G chipset and GeForce 6100 on board graphix controller
Hi,
Apologies for the long post - but I'm being driven crazy by this problem.
A while ago I built a new server that is intended to serve as a Xen
server running multiple DomU systems used a test environments for
systems that I am working on. The host Xen system will be CentOS 5 as
will some of the DomU systems. The systems will all be hardware virtualized.
The motherboard uses the nVidia
