I was starting to run a yum update on one of my servers and noticed that it wanted to install Thunderbird for some reason. about Update Road and no IDLE in CAPABILITY
Hi list, I'm in the path of moving from courier-imap to dovecot and testing it since 1.2-rc3. So far it is very promising. Thank you for your amazing work. So my first question is: what is the recommended update road ? For now, I first "managesieve patch"/compile the source, go on to the old source folder and do a "make uninstall", switch back to the new source folder

LDAP/Autofs instructions are conflicting in Centos5.3
Hi, I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place, so if this belongs more on another list, please let me know. I am trying to get Autofs configured to use LDAP on CentOS5.3, but am running into an inconsitency. On CentOS5.3, the openldap server is installed with an extra schema/redhat/autofs.schema file. From what I can tell, that schema file seems to follow RFC2307bis. In the

updating centOS5.3
I have centOS5.3 installed in the system. I have never updated it but now am planning to update. While doing "yum update", is there any possibility that the update might hamper the execution of any software/application installed on the system? Is there anything particular to note before updating the system? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Amateur Radio/FCC and the "none" encryption option
Is there an easy way to get the "none" option back into OpenSSH? In order to do TCP/IP over amateur radio in the U.S. (and most other countries) we must not use encryption to obscure the meaning of our info, but we are allowed to use authentication to set up the links. This means we need normal authentication but we need the "none" option back in OpenSSH in order to use it

Newer gamin package for CentOS 4.x?
The gam_server in gamin-0.1.7-1.2.EL4 occasionally goes into an infinite loop (googling indicates there have been problems with this in gam_server for a long time, I see "another attempt to fix ..." dating from 2004). Does anyone know whether a newer version of gamin has finally fixed this and if so where an RPM or SRPM for the fixed version, suitable for CentOS 4, might be found?
