Oracle instantclient on CentOS 4.4 with DBD::Oracle
Does anyone have experience on installing the Oracle instantclient and
DBD::Oracle on CentOS 4.4.
I have been having several issues with getting the RPMs from Oracle's site
working with DBD::Oracle. I can get the oracle instant client to install
without issue. But I cannot compile/install DBD::Oracle using cpan or
cpan2rpm.
I found http://freshrpms.net/docs/oracle/ which has a nosrc rpm

perl-DBD-MySQL, libmysqlclient.16 and 5.7 (FInal)
Hello,
I have server CentOS 5.7. It has mysql-community installed.
I need to run perl-based tool (mysqlreport) and it requires perl-DBD-MySQL
(not a surprise)
When I am trying to install perl-DBD-MySQL via yum -- it says it requires
libmysqlclient.*15 *and it conflicts with libmysqlclient.*16 *which was
installed as a part of mysql-community.
I tried to make symbolic link and force DBD to work

Ruby DBD::Proxy
I noticed that some of the ActiveRecord adapters depend on ruby-dbi.
I''ve just started to play with the ruby-dbi database driver DBD::Proxy,
which allows me to connect to other ruby-dbi drivers running on other
operating systems.
What seems more practical, developing a ActiveRecord database adapter
for DBD::Proxy, or would you just target a specific database, and just
depend on

rpmforge, perl-dbd-mysql, yum, priorities, centos, and you
rpmforge has just released a new perl-DBD-mysql for el4 that has an
obsoletes against perl-DBD-MySQL and the protectbase yum plugin doesn't
grok obsoletes. the priorities plugin does. so if you are having issues
with this, install the yum-plugin-priorities first, make sure that the
CentOS-Base repo is priority 1 and the rpmforge repo is priority 2 or
higher (99 is the default).

Missing perl-DBD-Pg security update
Hi,
Any news when we may expect the missing perl-DBD-Pg security update for
CentOS 5 from last week?
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2009-0479.html
It came out the same day as the poppler security update that CentOS
pushed 2 days later so I'm wondering why the perl-DBD-Pg security update
still hasn't appeared. Is there an issue? Did it just get missed? Should
we wait longer?

4.3.0-3 fresh build - hvmloader Triple fault on VCPU0
I've tracked down the issue to the seabios package being updated to 1.7.4-1 from 1.7.3-3. When Xen is built with the older version, everything works fine.
In fact, I bisected the issue down to the following SeaBIOS commit:
http://review.coreboot.org/gitweb?p=seabios.git;a=commit;h=e144bb7af49ca8756b7222a75811f3b85b0bc1f5
I don't know if this group is interested in tracking down the

problem. But I have a scenario of using three(3) forms in one page in
which all the three forms will have the captcha . So that when I
refresh the page the captcha data of the three forms are equal.

Captcha Fun
Hello,
I am trying to integrate a captcha into a form that is used to update a
database. I am using a method that is outlined here:
http://svn.2750flesk.com/validates_captcha/trunk/README, but things are not
working correctly. The captcha image shows up in the user form, but the
captcha input is being ignored. The following shows my controller file:

4.3.0-3 fresh build - hvmloader Triple fault on VCPU0
When using the 4.3.0-3/4.3.0-3+b1 xen packages from the Debian archive, things work fine.
However, when we compile the xen=4.3.0-3 source package ourselves, we run into an issue launching an HVM. As soon as the HVM bios is loaded, VCPU0 gets a triple fault and the HVM is destroyed (this is with "loglvl=all guest_loglvl=all hvm_debug=3" boot options).
