I have a cgi/perl program that I want to use on the same server as my RoR app and I keep getting: The page you were looking for doesn''t exist. CentOS 6.8 Apache-2.2.15-53 re-write question
I was wondering if somebody could help me with an Apache re-write rule. Apparently CentOS 6.8 is running apache-2.2.15-53. I am trying to redirect all pages except for two pages. The apache rewrite directives in the httpd config are: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}!^/test/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}!^/my-folder/ RewriteRule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L] These commands

Redirect 301 and cache
I want my rails app to redirect from no-WWW to WWW domain (for example if I enter example.com/test to redirect to www.example.com/test). I put the following code in the application controller and worked fine: before_filter :check_uri def check_uri if !/^www/.match(request.host) redirect_to request.protocol + "www." + request.host_with_port + request.request_uri, :status => 301

DNS Setting
Hello People, In my DNS setting I added A record of www for our company website. It works, when you go to http://www.mycompany.com; it resolves and it shows the website content. But in addition, I want also some kind of redirection or mapping (i don't know what you called that) that when people go to http://mycompany.com (without www), it should forward also to the www server. How to do

Apache Redirects...
I'm trying to require SSL for drupal login and admin pages and it seems that this should work but it doesn't redirect if added to httpd.conf or to .htaccess (I've tried both) RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/(user|admin) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/$1 [L,R] Shouldn't this be enough so that the URL...(googling suggests that it is) http://cms.tobyhouse.com/user/login

How to Auto Add forward slash "/" when accessing a link/url through ProxyPass
Hi Friends, I am using Centos 5.2 and using ProxyPass to access applications running on other servers. Everything is working fine except for one of the applications I need to auto add forward slash when any user tries to access that application. For ex ProxyPass /testdiary http://testdiary.example.com/ ProxyPassReverse /testdiary http://testdiary.example.com/ If somebody

httpd/sites-available directory
The goal is to have access to a specific virtual host on port 80, to be routed to port 443. Any other port 80 access is left as is. So let us assume a server foo.bar.com and the specific virtual host is webmail.bar.com So I have tried: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName webmail.bar.com ServerAlias webmail RewriteEngine On ReWriteCond %{HTTP_HOST}

trying to add another app
hey all, I have an app working great with apache2 and mongrel_cluster. However, I''m trying to run another application and now when I go to app1.comit falls to app2.com and the opposite. That''s probably because I messed up somewhere with the cluster. this is the content of my conf.d/app1.proxy_cluster.conf: <Proxy balancer://mongrel_cluster> BalancerMember

RewriteRule to strip www. ?
I''m trying to add a RewriteRule to my .htaccess to remove the www. prefix from requests. The following works on its own: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} www.mysite.com RewriteRule (.*) http://mysite.com/$1 But it blows up when I try to add it to my .htaccess file. I''ve tried moving it around, before and after the various Rails-specific rules, but I can''t get it to work.

httpd/sites-available directory
I just received some advice from a colleague of a colleague over at openssl.org. But they use debian. Please look at this and help me out on how Centos7 handles this: Note the comment of the location of virtualhost config files. Centos7 does not have a "man a2ensite". thanks Rewriterules and https. Actually, looking at what you have doesn't really tell me why it gets applied

Action caching with multiple domains
I have recently setup some action caching in my Rails app and everything seems to be working fine. I am using file store pointing at /tmp/cache. The problem I am running into is that separate cache directories are being created for different domain names that point at the same server. For example mysite.com and www.mysite.com will have different cache directories. It seems like it should be easy

My rails app works fine, but when I try to access my svn repos as I was doing before everything was setup rail is giving me a 404. What can I add to my httpd.conf to prevent this? Here''s a snip from my httpd.conf relating to the domain: ---HTTPD.CONF---------------------------

[OT] Apache rewrite stuff...
Hi all, a little off topic, but was wondering what the best way is to re-write incoming requests so that they all end up at the same domain. For example, if I had: my_domain.net my_domain.com my_domain.org Whats the best way to map/redirect all of these to www.my_domain.com ? I know its possible, just not sure what to add for rules/virtual hosts in my apache config. Thanks for the help! -Nick

Apache Re-Write and Directories
Howdy, I am using the ''default'' Apache 2.2 mod_rewrite rules suggested from the Web site and they are working. One thing related to static (non cluster directed) resources: If I have a directory in public called ''static'', if I request it as follows: http://www.domain.com/static/ - then it works If I request it as: http://www.domain.com/static - then it

[somewhat OT] Apache config for Rails + ColdFusion + PHP
Our group has several web apps developed in ColdFusion, PHP, and Rails. The ColdFusion and PHP apps are on an older server, and the Rails apps on a new server. Ideally, we''d like them all to share the same server. Our current setup for the Rails server is Apache2.2 with mod_proxy_balancer and mongrel_cluster. We''d like to have specific directories be processed and served by
