Problems with rpmforge repo?
Hello,
Tried yum update all yesterday and today and seems there is a perl
dependency missing. Does anyone know if it is a problem or just a sync
thing and that I should be more patient. Error is below:

package: perl-IO-Compress
--> Finished Dependency Resolution

rpmforge.repo
How come rpmforge.repo wants to install a whole slew of perl modules,
yet if I leave rpmforge.repo out of the update process, none of the perl
modules shows up? Here's the rpmforge.repo file.. do any of yall see
anything wrong with anything in there?

Not respected repo priorities...
Ah ah, the demo effect... just after I said I did not have much issues with repos... ^_^
A collegue installed some packages (for perconna) and since then a server insists on replacing 2 base packages with 2 rfx packages, even when I gave a lower priority to rfx...

[LLVMdev] LiveIntervals, replace register with representative register?
I don't understand the following code snippet in LiveIntervalAnalysis.cpp.
Why changing the type of the opreand from a virtual register to a
machine register? The register number (reg) is still a virtual
register index (>1024).
bool LiveIntervals::runOnMachineFunction(MachineFunction &fn) {
// perform a final pass over the instructions and compute spill

Update Issue
I come to you "hat in hand" again. For the first time in a long while
I got a "Update Notification" at the bottom of my screen -- so I
decided to click on it and run the update. Unfortunately I got a
couple dependency errors and am not sure how to solve them. (Not even
sure why I got them.)
They are as follows:

[LLVMdev] [Query] Programming Register Allocation
Thanks for the information.
I still don't know how do I partition registers into different classes from
the virtual registers? For instance, I have the function who which iterates
over the instructions, but I don't know how to write the function which
returns the different register class.

Weird update problem
For some time now updates on my CentOS box had skipped exiv2. Yesterday I
decided to do something about it, so I removed it - together with gwenview,
digikam and, IIRC, libexiv2. That sounded reasonable, so I accepted the
removal, then re-installed gwenview and digikam, which, of course, pulled in
the two exiv2 packages. The version number of exiv2 sounded familiar, but I
assumed that it

"yum -yq --security check-update" spouting lots of text?

I thought -q meant 'no output'. Recently yum -q has started spewing the
following garbage, can anyone tell me why?

is rpmforge now considered 'friendly' with EPEL?
I normally only use EPEL as an addition repo, but one package I want to
install on this one system is ffmpeg, and I'm finding it on rpmforge
only... but its install wants to mix epel and rpmforge packages...

Dag mirror, yum and repomd.xml!
Hi:
I have a mirror of dag repository
(http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/i386/dag/) in my intranet which is used
by other servers to install/update rpms. I installed on every remote
server the rpmforge rpm, edit the /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo to fit
with my intranet mirror, but when I run yum, I get this error:

errors on multimedia guidance for x86_64
I have a fresh install of 5.4 x86_64 from a dvd .iso. All has worked
well for several days, including kvm and WinXP running in a vm.
Decided it was time to get the multimedia stuff up and running so I
could listen to music CDs and watch DVD movies while working. I
followed the guidance on the "Tips and Tricks" page for multimedia. Had

rpmforge i386 and x86_64?
Hi
Is it possible to have rpmforge for both architectures? Currently is
only for 64bit, but I need some libraries 32bit (rrdtool) to install
ganglia.
But if I try to install rpmforge i386, I got the message:
