having trouble booting Xen-3.1 on X86_64 Fedora Core 8 install
Hi:
Any hints/pointers welcome. I am very new to Xen, I have a AMD "AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+" based system on which I am running X86_64 Fedora Core 8. I have installed Xen-3.1 on it, but I can''t get Xen to boot. It seems unable to find the root volume, the kernel panics and reboots immediately so I can''t capture or write down anything and I

Apparently no swap configured
Hello,
I'm in a slightly unusual situation and I'd really appreciate some advice.
I installed CentOS 5.2 on a server about a month ago.
Today I happened to check the 'free' command and noticed that the Swap
line reads as follows:
Swap: 0 0 0
I'm pretty certain that when I installed the OS and created a custom
partition table, that I defined a

xen guest won't boot after yum update
After a yum update my two guests that had been shutdown do not start
any more. I have two other guests running that seem to work okay but I
am now afraid that they won't come up again if I restart them.
I am running CentOS5 with kernel 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5xen. Previously I had
following xen versions installed:

Just thought I'd drop in to ask for this bug to be solved and add another vote
to solving this bug...
I was trying to copy my CrossOver Office config (about 470M worth of data) using
scp to another machine configured as follows:

fc6 guest x server / vnc problems
I''ve succesfully installed FC6 domU under RHEL5-beta2 dom0 with
virt-manager. I could open
a graphical vnc console from virt-manager with no probs and use domU''s
gnome desktop.
After few days of running the guest I''ve updated it with yum and been
using it mostly
via xm console. Now I tried to use the graphical console, but all

[LLVMdev] code generation
I've study their work carefully.
My problem is the implementation of threads in llvm after partitionning. I
want to have information about how to implement producer/consumer thread in
llvm.
I do not know where I should start in llvm for code generation and create
thread and insert produce and consume statement .

Delete rpart/mvpart cross-validation output
Dear all,
I was wondering if there is a simple way to avoid printing the multiple
cross-validation automatic output to the console of recursive partitionning
functions like rpart or mvpart. For example...

partionning users among backends
Hi
I face growing load on a mailserver, and I would like to spread the load
on multiple machines. I made a first attempt with dsync but got burnt with
issues with mbox, therefore now I am looking for another safer approach.
Partitionning users on multiple backends would address my load problem.
I would have 50% of users on mail1.example.net and 50% on mail2.example.net,
but I need to correctly

High CPU Load samba 4.1.12 possibly because of Notify Request problem
Hi List,
I recently upgraded one of our high-volume SMB servers from samba 3.x to samba 4.1.12 (also changing the OS).
Now I have a strange problem.
The CPU load on the server is very high, processes that are causing it are nslcd or since I changed to it sssd and the smbd processes themselves.

Multi-partition domain not recognizing extra partitions
Hello,
I have been having an annoying problem with a multi-partition domain. This
domain has a separate partition for : /, /home, /usr, /var, /tmp and /data.
I created it using xen-tools and the custom partitionning scheme option. The
partitions are inside a LVM.
When I boot the domain, it mounts the / and swap partition but none of the
others. Therefore it doesn''t work... I get the

[LLVMdev] code generation
I am MSc student and my thesis subject is "parallelization of sequential
program in thread level to run on multi-core processors". I want
automatically parallelize sequential program in thread level to run on
multi-core processors with software pipelining.
I've use LLVM to code analysis and translate code to IR, I could extract PDG
graph form IR code and convert it to SCCDAG and
