Hi all, I have a permissions problem with a samba share which I really can't fathom out. I'm trying to create a fully group writable share. Easy or so I thought. As you can see from my config I am trying all the options to set files group writable, however when I create a file from the client I'm always getting the mode 0644. Does anyone have a clue why? I was wondering if anyone could advise me on this. I've got two Samba servers, each using passdb.tdb for authentication. All works well, but I've now been asked to let users change their own passwords (a requirement of data secuity). What's the best way of arranging this, preferably updating both servers at the same time? thanks

Hello all, At our office a have a server running 3 Xen domains. Mail server, etc. I want to make this setup more redundant. There are a few howtos on the combination of Xen, DRBD, and heartbeat. That is probably the best way. Another option I am looking at is a piece of shared storage, a machine running CentOS with a large software RAID 5 array. What is the best means of sharing the storage?

Hello all fellow CentOS users! I have a working xen setup with 3 paravirt domUs and one Windblows 2003 fully virt domU. There are to virtual networks. As far as I can tell in the paravirt Linux DomUs I have gigabit networking, but not in the fully virt Windows 2003 domU.... Is there a setting for this, or is it not yet supported? Hi all, We have a bit of a problem with backups. We've been using bacula to tape and now trying to disk but it's a complete nightmare as regards tape management. Hi all, I'm just trying to get Dell openmanage to run on my Centos 5.6 box. The monitoring stuff appears to have installed but the web server stuff is complaining it needs openwsman 2.2.3 or later and I can only find that for RHEL/Centos 6, not 5. Hello all, I have yesterday after some typos, sent my ext3 RAID5 array to the void... I want to recreate it now, but I read on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Disk_Optimization that you can optimize the filesystem on top of the RAID. Will this wiki article be exactly the same for XFS?
