recommended repo for php 5.2.3 +
Good day all,
I have been searching on google for the recommended repo for php 5.2.3
+ for centos... I saw at one point it was in the testing repo, but was
pulled due to no one testing it.
Is there a recommended repo that people feel is safe for a CentOS 5.x
to get php 5.23 + ?
I know i can compile and install, but i like to keep as "vanilla" as
possible.
Thanks in advance.

SugarCRM pro and PHP 5.2
We're looking at SugarCRM 5, but they strongly recommend PHP 5.2.4.
Looking around I see that a few individuals are maintaining repos for
CentOS, but I'd prefer to get it from one of the larger repositories.
Anyone out there using http://www.jasonlitka.com/yum-repository/ ?
Any idea when PHP 5.2x will be available?

Apache 2.2 under CentOS?
We've been going through some growing pains fumbling through porting
some custom
C modules that used to live under apache 1.3 into the 2.0 spec, even
though none of us
really considers ourselves a 'C developer'. We've basically got them
all working now
under the 2.0 API, and the question was posed about whether or not we
should consider
attempting to upgrade everything to run

MySql Query Cache
Hi,
One of the servers I run is a VPS running Lighttpd fcgi which I am running a
simple wordpress blog off of. Since RAM is the biggest limitation I have
disabled the query cache on MySql. Now I have the following questions.
1. What does the FCGI server cache now?
2. How can I speed up this setup?
3. Will turning on the query cache speed things up?
I am trying to make sure the system

iso creation with dd
I placed a CD in a drive.
I ran
sudo dd sudo dd if=/dev/cdrom of=HMI_B_Image_File_4-23-09_disk_1.iso
It completed. I then transferred the ISO file to an XP machine, use
Sonic to burn the ISO file to another CD, and there was a file missing
(the largest) in the burned CD.
Seems like the data got transferred through the dd, but not a file
name. What might I be doing wrong?

I need to deploy some network storage and I want to know which "type" your

PHP and PHP53
Greetings,
We have someone requesting the use of Wordpress 3.3.1. It requires PHP 5.2
minimum.
Currently, our machine is running CentOS 5.7.
What are the issues/concerns in upgrading from PHP 5.1 (the current PHP
rpms) to PHP53?
Much thanks,
Max Pyziur
