response.should have_text leads to undefined method `has_text?'
One of my controllers directly renders some JSON output that I would like to test with RSpec. For that I use ''response.should have_text("foobar")'' in my spec file, but that leads to a Failure/Error: response.should have_text("enim") undefined method `has_text?'' for #<ActionController::TestResponse: 0xb6736944> I read here somewhere that webrat

Hi, I'm turning my wheels on this and keep coming around to the same wrong solution - please have a look and give a hand ... replace a few strings in a text file
Dear all, I wrote a wrapper to a FORTRAN program using R. The main program uses a text file (~200 lines) as an input describing the simulation to be run. I typically generate the file once with the right parameters using a combination of file(), paste(), cat(). This is fine, and it works well, however I then need to update only a few values in the file many times (~200 times,

Hi, I'm trying to make a "pure ldap" setup, whereas users, groups, id mappings and everything that is supported with LDAP be in the LDAP tree and managed directly by samba. That is, I'm using: ldapsam:trusted = yes ldapsam:editposix = yes And NOT using smbldap-*. My smb.conf is here: http://wiki.clueless.com.ar/SambaLdap/smb.conf-PDC I created the LDAP tree root

PHP Dingus Fix
I just realised I hadn't updated the version of PHP Markdown and Extra on the dingus as I pretended I did in my two announcements. It is now fixed: PHP Markdown 1.0.2b7 and PHP Markdown Extra 1.1b1 can now be tested on the dingus. <http://www.michelf.com/projects/php-markdown/dingus/> Sorry for any inconvenience. Using People for Machine accounts
Using Samba 3.0.2pre1 under SuSE 8.2. I have seen several references now in this list noting that the browse for machine accounts in Samba 3 is broken, and 'People' should be used instead. I changed smb.conf to 'ldp machine suffix = ou=People' and I changed smbldap_conf.pm to '$computersou=(People). I then cleared ldap, ran smbldap-populate.pl, and changed the uid of

Hi everyone, I've got a question concerning the function acf(.) in R for calculating the autocorrelation in my data. I have a table with daily returns of several stocks over time and I would like to calculate the autocorrelation for all the series (not only for one time series). How can I do this? After that I want to apply an autoregressive model based on the estimated lag in the

Question concerning Box.test
Hi everyone, I've got a question concerning the function Box.test for testing autocorrelation in my data. My data consist of (daily) returns of several stocks over time (first row=time, all other rows=stock returns). I intend to perform a Box-Ljung test for my returns (for each stock). Since I have about 3000 stocks in my list, I'm not able to perform the test individually for each

My point of departure is that I want to import a matrix (consisting of time and daily stock returns of many stocks) in R.
